bigmikevee Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hey Derek, Wow, looks very nice, very different, just an unusual look, a super clean build. Something you don't see here all the time, I love the unusual stuff you can find here. Also noticed you are new to the site, so just wanted to welcome you, a very cool place to post, learn, share tips and ideas, meet some neat people, and just have fun! Thanks for posting, hope you enjoy it here, look forward to seeing more of your work! Mike
David G. Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I love old school hot rods like this. A simpler car from a simpler time. Very well done, I should add!
Chuck Most Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Very cool old school rod... I really like the 4-banger!
sobpinstriping Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I like it, it makes me think of a reall early hot rod. I generly don't like spoke rims but it works for this. cheers mat
codie27 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Very nice, dont see the old A done like this one very often. Good job
charlie8575 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 I like it. I like the twin-carb 4-cylinder, too. It's definitely different. Where'd you find the intake for it? Charlie Larkin
DRG Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Brings back really great memories from a time long gone. Clean lines, a great build. Welcome aboard.
tiltawhirl Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 heres the box. i love to know when this model was made
Greg Cullinan Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 That is a heck of a build, came out real clean.I like the red you used too.The exhaust is sweet. Awesome box,I really like older kits.
dimaxion Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) This is the Original Release of this kit . I bought it in the winter of 1962 during a terrible snow storm . "How bad was it ?" Bad enough the Schools closed . I tredged to the Drug Store after a phone call to verify it was available to buy there . My Paper Route was cancelled too due from the Storm. In the day , this was not a common thing . The Snow was up to my thighs . I was and am almost 6' . Drifting was of course deeper. It was shortly after the Cuban missle Crisis this storm occured . This is a grear kit . The instructions should show you how to build a Board Track , Hulligan's Car . Along with Customizing tips from 1:1 Builders . Names such as George Barris , The Alexander Brothers ect. They would advise you what parts to wrangle from current kits to make that just right custom touch . Thanx ..
