I finally got back to this one after finishing the 56 Belair. Here's some mockup pics. Keep in mind that nothing is glued in place on the body so alignment is a little off and it will sit a tad lower when the body is finally glued to the chassis.

I haven't decided whether to go for the moons or open steelies yet. They both look great to me.

Hope you like it,

Well, you could always run the Moon caps on one side, and the barenekkid steelies on the other. I actually saw a '40 Ford Tudor with 16" steelies and wide whites on the driver's side and big n' little billets/low-pro rubber on the passenger's side. Great option for the truly indecisive.

very nice, i like the scallops. are they painted or decals?

i would like steelies with some contrast color.

The scallops are kit decals applied between coats of clear. Getting them on was like picking the fly poop out of pepper:P. I will most likely go with the moons as open steelies have been done to death in the last few years.

Here are some pics of the rolling chassis and interior before I button her up.

The heads, intake setup and exhaust manifolds came from the Revell 32 sedan kit. I had to lengthen the water hoses a little and I still have to connect the exhausts to the engine.

That is one sharp looking truck.

I'd go with chrome revese and baby moons.
