TheCat Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 (edited) This was my first try on creating a Vinyl top on a model. I think it came out good. I'm pretty happy with it. Colored in Champaign Gold. Model kit if from Revell Z-28 Camaro. I also created a custom license plate with my Sister's name. She LOVES Camaros. Edited October 13, 2010 by TheCat
Chuck Most Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Nice work, and it sure is refreshing to see a strip-o Camaro in scale for a change!
Jeff Johnston Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I love it...it has that sitting in the dealer parking lot look to it... They weren't all Yanko's and Z/28's back in the day... I like this one...
camaroman Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I love it!!! Way too many nice clean cars are used for clones... Therefore, I love this build. Nice, clean execution!!!
Space Cowboy Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Now thats a Camaro.. Great job and a great job on the top..
davyou5 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Very nice and clean, the way I like them , Excellent Job.
codie27 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Very nice work. Love the idea of a stock build and vinyl roof. Quite uncommon these days to see older cars in stock form. What did you use for the vinyl?
trogdor Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 As a Camaro lover, I say you nailed it. It looks great
TheCat Posted October 14, 2010 Author Posted October 14, 2010 Very nice work. Love the idea of a stock build and vinyl roof. Quite uncommon these days to see older cars in stock form. What did you use for the vinyl? I used all general purpose tape then primed it and then use a brush and painted the flat black to give it a more realistic look. The tape gave it a real nice realistic look texture to it.
samm1970 Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Great looking model.I love the vinyl top, nice color choice as well.
impcon Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Nice work, and it sure is refreshing to see a strip-o Camaro in scale for a change! I agree totally! Now why not build a REAL base model with a 6 cylinder engine? Seriously though - the car looks very, very sweet! Nice job. Nice colors. Nice stance.
Scalper Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Very Nice Camaro . Nice job on the wheels and roof. Paint job looks really nice great color.
crazyjim Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Fantastic build and the roof looks excellent.
David G. Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I love factory stock builds, and this one is well done. The top came out great. too!
