Guest Gramps-xrds Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I don't usually post here anymore, but I thought some of you might like this. It's not perfect, but I think it looks pretty good considering what all had to be done to it. This is pretty much what it looked like when I was drivin it around yrs ago. I won't bore ya with all I had ta do ta get it ta look like this, but believe me it was a lot, but I'm happy with how it came out.
DRG Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 That is one sharp looking truck. One question though, I thought I saw a Chevy emblem on the hood??
jeffs396 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Wow, that looks great Bill! Please "bore" us with how you built it I really like these pre-war Chevy trucks and don't know of any plastic kits...is it resin, or converted from a Ford? Hope you documented your build with pics, it would not "bore" us!
davyou5 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Well I Like it! the Diorama goes well with it too. Excellent job.
george 53 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Bill posted this over in our cave with wip pics. it's converted from the Orange Blossom Special. He did ALOT of nip an tuckin to get it right. I'm only addin this caz I don't know if Bill'll be back.
Chuck Most Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I keep telling him he should've let a resin caster borrow that beauty before he finished her up!
The Modeling Hermit Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I sure hope Bill will be back. His artistry is quite welcome to me. This is a fantastic build.
Jon Cole Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Wow! That is great! Not the kind of truck we would expect to see in scale plastic.
W-409 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 This is very good looking Chevy truck! I like that paint, it's very good and colour looks good too. Perfect choice for wheels and tires, I like all those little details. Engine detailing looks very good too, but now it's a little "boring". I mean it looks like made from one piece... That doesn't matter anyways, because other model is so nice, that engine is just a little thing, keep on building, Chevy looks awesome, specially I like that wooden bead.
