spkgibson Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I built this from the DOH kit the only after market parts are the stock wheels from Missing Link ,The engine was a combination of the kit parts and I used the Lindberg 64 Dodge Block, I painted it the correct factory overspray , I hope everyone likes it, I had a really bad week, And this got me through it!

Joe Handley Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Looks good, kinda reminds me of the Blue Plymouth Cooter built to run shine from one of the early Dukes episodes when they were still shooting in Georgia
spkgibson Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 Looks good, kinda reminds me of the Blue Plymouth Cooter built to run shine from one of the early Dukes episodes when they were still shooting in Georgia I'll be making that soon enough, I already have the 75-76 Fury conversion kit from Missing Link
Sixties Sam Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Very nice model of an unusual subject. The color is just right. I don't think I've ever seen that kit before. I like it! Sam
tuffone20 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 That looks great!! And very nice to see it built as a non-police car. I have a few of them and might just have to try and build one myself.
spkgibson Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 I Just put the air cleaner decal on last night it is from the DOH Road Runner kit, I used the 400 4 barrel one on it,Sorry about the blurry photo, I use my cell phone for my photos for now, Also the first photo is a good photo of the Front of the car.
Railfreak78 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Awesome! Thats exactly why I want a few of these. I want to make a few stocks too. Beautiful work on a car that I know you have a passion for like me. Not many of us out there on this body style
von Zipper Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I hope everyone likes it, I had a really bad week, And this got me through it! I like it alot ! May be the best mainstreamer of that kit I've seen, Sorry you had a bad week-and hope things get better for ya !
Joe Handley Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I'll be making that soon enough, I already have the 75-76 Fury conversion kit from Missing Link Cool, just remember, Enos was chasin' that car all over the county, so the outside only has to look stock
spkgibson Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 That's an easy one to paint up the color is the 74-76 shade of B-5 Blue with the matching interior, I already have the paint for that car, I just need 1 good day to paint it up. I already have a 75 Inca Gold Coronet painted up, And ready to finish up, Oh I still need to finish the grills on it also . I'll be making that Fury very soon.
TheCat Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Great to see one done as a non-cop car. Very cool! I agree with Mark. Good to see one done as stock.
bsoder Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Well I do like to make cop cars...but that looks really nice as a factory stock!..great job
superdog Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Wow ,excellent and rare subject,I had a real one just like it ,had the 360 in it , it was gold,I truly loved that car,4 doors ,rode all my buddies around and it would also smoke the tires whenever I needed a laugh, great model bro..Todd
spkgibson Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Well I had to add a few things in the engine compartment, I added the Lean Burn System , It was made from the CB out of the kit and the fuel pump from a junker motor from the same kit, The snorkel is scratch built using a custom air cleaner and the little round part is from a prostock fuel pump from an unknown kit, These photos look alittle better.
