Looks Good, Mike.

Is it done yet?

That is the finished model. Still have a couple more to build, some day.

This thread inspired me to go on Feebay and get one last night. So what if it's a curbside, snap together. These are really good looking when complete. Already have parts in the bins for my build.

I have the snap Blazer and two Deserters. I want to cut off one cab at the rear of the door and put it on the Blazer, and use the bed to make a long bed with the other.

If you need, I have a few extra of those beds. PM me if interested.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm fairly well stocked on squarebodies. :D20221201_193637.thumb.jpg.c5065488477809002fdcdbca6bab5235.jpg

I did this to the Emergency Snap kit... Swapped the 84 MPC front end onto it. Stranger Things Sheriff Hopper's Blazer. It made a decent replica...

Looks fantastic, love this gen Blazer and C/K trucks.

I agree, that it is time for Round2 to get the MPC Snap Blazer back to the market. Maybe add some Sherriff or Fish & Game decals, and maybe a trailer to sweeten the pot on what will have to be a $40.00 kit, by the time it hits the shelves. Or maybe the Parts Pack Motorcycle from 2-3 years ago.

Make the bikes the Husqvarna's with the trailer and I'd be in.

The Husky's are Revell Tooling , I think.. AMT Had a Yamaha and something else.(Suzuki?)

Doesn't Revell own them now?

AMT released the Yamaha in a Twin Parts pack a couple years ago. Revell has not released the Huskys in several years. Most recently in a Kit with a Pickup, Trailer and pair of bikes.

I had that kit. It has only enough parts to complete one bike, despite what the Box Art shows. This is due to the way the Chrome tree is set up, It would need to full chrome trees, and only one comes in the kit.

Does the Offroad Adventure Set have Handle Bars and Forks for Both Bikes?

Mine Did not. I want to know if it was a  one time packing error, or a corporate foul up?

Thanks.

Keep looking some of my motorcycle parts were on trees that you wouldn't think they would be on.

Looks like this Blazer may be coming back, this time with Coca-Cola Decals.

Not sure if the Lightbar will still be in it.

At the 1:30 spot, the video narrator says the original kit version was the Revell one, and then said starting at the 1:58 spot that this new version would feature a sunroof and a removable roof . . . . . but I double-checked my original kit, the Revell one did not have the removable roof cap, and has fender flares molded onto the body. The narrator and the Revell image he refers to might be a mistake, since the new box art certainly resembles the old original MPC Blazer version with its chrome spoke wheels, no fender flares, and the front front bumper guard that has the driving lights attached to it. That kit version also had a sunroof. Except it also has a molded-to-the-body roof cap. The Monogram Blazer / Jimmy kits were the ones with the removable roofs. If they are doing a straight up repop of the MPC Blazer version (which was later repopped as the AMT/Ertl one), I'd think it would be quite a chore to re-tool just to create a removable roof cap.

Yeah, I think that guy got his wires crossed a bit. The MPC snap Blazer should be the one that was out as an emergency response vehicle about 12 years ago.

I looked last night for any signs that this Blazer kit has been announced, but could not find any.

The Box Art looks like the new Round2, but there should be a bigger internet footprint if it is only 3 months away......

His research has been shoddy in other videos. And I'm willing to bet that the Scalemates timeline for the Snap Blazer Conflates the Revell and MPC kits, as well, so you do have to know some history not to confuse them.

Maybe others who keep a closer eye on the new releases, and have better sources than I do, can find out more.

I have seen another announcement for the Blazer a month or two ago but again, not much else.

Maybe Steve G. will comment on this.

I'm really looking forward to this though. I'll have plans and already have the perfect wheels I'll be using on it. 😉
