Very good, love the subject, colour & finish. In all I can’t see a single thing I don’t like.

Your foiling is excellent; I wish mine was half as good.

A joy to behold, thanks for sharing this beautiful model with us.

I had a freind who had one of these in High School. It had a 352 Automatic, but it wasn't an S-55! I ALWAYS liked his cars. He's the buddy I bought my 69 Charger R/T from. Bob ALWAYS kept a nice car. His was Champaign colored, kinda had a pinkish shade to it. It was NICE, JUST like yours! you did a GREAT job on the roof! Well, the WHOLE thing, actually! GREAT job!:o;)

What you have done is very good. You asked for comments and I wish to offer some constructive ones to help you get even better results.

The model lacks visual depth. Things like the headlights, hubcaps, front turn signals and the trim at the base of the C-pillars could do with some more paint detailing. The foil is good but looks a little pebbly. Perhaps polishing the paint underneath or lightly polishing the foil after application could help smooth it out and shine it up a bit more.

The interior looks great and adds a lot to the model. You really did do a great job on this model. Keep up the good work. :)

Hey thanks Andrew! Question for ya, do you think I should have drilled out the headlights and put a spare set in? Your right about the foil, my wife noticed that too. This was my first Modelhaus kit, gonna do better next time! Thanks man. By the way, I dig your "Bug Zapper" funny car, need to get one soon!! Sixx

Wow, lot of chrome on that one.

great job, love everything about it.

Nice clean work! And extra points for doing such a rarely seen model. I agree with Andy, you should have drilled out those chrome headlight lenses and went with something more realistic. Oh well... next time. ;)

For those chromed headlights. If you are not going to drill them, other way is that you paint them with white and remove the paint from the center. There is chrome in the center and white paint around it. Looks good, haven't tried it yet, but I think, it works, have seen pictures from it. But anyways, very nice job on the resin kit. That paintjob looks very cool and it's just so clean build that there are no any big mistakes. Foiling looks very good also. I must get this kit someday, but maybe it's just too expensive to me. Well, that looks very good anyways! B)

Drilling the lights out and replacing with clear lenses is the best way but you could try painting them with a mix of white and silver paint. I have done this and if you get the mix right it looks pretty decent. Testors turn signal amber or even their regular orange will do wonders for your turn signals. I think cars still had clear lenses in 63 so the headlight mix will work for that. Experimenting with washes using Polly S paints (water-based) will really add depth to some of the trim. I see you used a wash in the grill. Sometimes if you use grays for a wash they look better than black which can be kind of harsh visually.

I admire your positive attitude and desire to build better.

Man...the ONLY thing wrong with that car...( in my opinion, having been the proud owner of a '56 merc ) .....is that it's spelled..MONTEREY.....no "A".

Yea, I know, picky, huh?...lol

Sorry, but I just couldn't find anything else terribly wrong...you just built it too good man..
