Greg Myers Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 KOOL. can't wait to see the '48. Hope it's the same way.
Greg Myers Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing, I personaly would have rather had a stock build option. Is it really a custom it you built it out of the box? Can't wait to get started
Chuck Most Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Did you guys see that? A snail, a glacier, and the drifting North American continent just blew past Revell's new product rollout schedule...
Dr. Cranky Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Thanks, Big Kahuna! These look sweet. I guess I'll have to start another piggy bank in the Lab-RAT-ory to cover the costs for this one!
Guest Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Cool! Even though it has a chopped top,I'm still gonna pick up at least one. The buildup in that photo was hideous looking! Thank God those big pontoons on the sides are an option.
Guest Markus355 Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 LOVE IT. cant wait to get my grubby mits on it
58 Impala Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 I like the fade aways, some of the best customizers of the 40's and 50's did nice work. I think the kit would look much better if it were lowered properly.
Harry P. Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 So is one of the three building versions factory stock?
Eshaver Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Collectable Automobile has done a great article on the 46-8 Ford Sportsman Convertibles in their October 2011 issue . I know the Revell kit is a Coupe . Still, it gives excellent references to doing a rare and desirable car............. Ed Shaver
Chuck Most Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Huh- now that I see fadeaway fenders as an option, I might pick up a couple more than I had originally planned. Yeah, Revell's renditions aren't the most graceful, but I've wanted to do a fat fender custom with fadeaways for a while- this should make it a bit easier.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Another kit I can't wait to get my hands on!
Guest Markus355 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 this is the first ever kit that i will probably buy multiples of.
Sixx Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Whoops, I just slobbered on my keyboard!! Can't wait for this one!! I'm dreaming of 48 Fords & swoopy Hudsons! LOL!!!!
Chuck Kourouklis Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Yup. Me takey, two right off the bat.
Aaronw Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Does anyone know more about the engine options? This isn't really my thing, but sometimes these custom kits include neat optional parts.
Chuck Most Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Even if they are the same, it's no big deal swapping on the Edelbrock heads and other pieces from the Deuce Tudor kit.
Aaronw Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 (edited) Oh well I was hoping for an interesting engine option. A big Lincoln motor like the Ford / Lincoln 337, Lincoln Y block 317 or one of the Lincoln V-12 flatheads would have been neat. Edited September 4, 2011 by Aaronw
scale trucker Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 a set of fenton heads and a scott blower with 2 carbs would be ideal..
