crazyjim Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Sounds good. Start shooting paint. Will it be SHINY :) or one of those drab kind of paint jobs?
Darren B Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Sounds good. Start shooting paint. Will it be SHINY :) or one of those drab kind of paint jobs? Thats what i am struggling with glossy would bring out the patterns but a vehicle from hell would have most of the paint scorched, thatis the biggest delimia flat or glossy? shooting for the most realism. crazyjim Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Your build, your call, Darren. SHINY :) RULES!
Darren B Posted January 13, 2012 Author Posted January 13, 2012 Maybe semi gloss.......................
Dr. Cranky Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Darren, Jim and Doctor Cranky can be a little devil on each of your shoulders, the Jim Devil says: SHINY! The Cranky Devil says RUSTY! You decide! HA!
crazyjim Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Coffins, ghouls, ghosts, etc. all go with SHINY :) . Have you ever seen a dirty, rusty, crusty hearse?
rmvw guy Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Looks good in primer, I can't wait to see paint. You are doing some awesome work!
Darren B Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Made some changes to the ride, shaved off headlights will use the headlights from the monster koach. Adding the casket body from grandpas dragster as a coffin trailer, will hinge it with full interior. And added to the tailights............. Edited January 17, 2012 by Darren B
Darren B Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) More pics.... Edited January 17, 2012 by Darren B
Dr. Cranky Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I love the way this build just keeps getting more and more interesting. You are possessed, Darren!
StyreneAddict Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 The doors look awesome, and I like the foam
LAone Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 oh man, it just keep getting better and better.. keep up the great work.
Darren B Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Removed the old lid from the casket from the Grandpas casket dragster and made my own lid from the sign foam, will primer and putty till its smooth.
Darren B Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Dragging skulls in and out of hell....................................
Jantrix Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 You can keep adding cool stuff Darren, but someday your gonna actauly paint this for us!
Darren B Posted January 24, 2012 Author Posted January 24, 2012 Found these fenders in the spares box, thought it needed some.................
Dr. Cranky Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Geez, talk about riding style. The one thing I am not convinced about are those draggin' skulls. They look huge and way out of scale.
Darren B Posted January 24, 2012 Author Posted January 24, 2012 Dr.Cranky, yeah they are pretty big, more like 1/12th + scale, but some of the skulls on the truck are as small as 1/48th, its hard to find proper scale skulls, i liked the detail on them. I was thinking they could have been giant skulls brought back from hell centuries ago, may add some smaller ones if I can find them. They are huge thou.
tooltas Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 use one in casket for smaller subs love the way the death wagon is coming .
Darren B Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 made hinges for the lid of the coffin, i tried to make them like the hinges on the doors to the pickup but they didnt work so just went with a simple hinge, the long wires will be cut down when its painted and ready to go the extra length make it easier to work with right now.
