Kanedge Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Hi everyone, thought I'd share some more of my builds and see what everyone thinks. This one was built back in 2008, amazing how fast time flies. Built boxstock, the only addition was the dice hanging in the window. The colour is Tamiya Candy Lime Green with Tamiya clear. Thanks for looking.
glenn Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 wow great work, the paint looks so deep you got that spot on,keep up the great work
Danno Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Stunning. Simply stunning. Great color for a custom Merc!
W-409 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Umm, that paintjob is outstanding! It's so shiny and specially it's smooth! Wow. Nice clean build, I haven't really been thinking of building boxstock models, but this one shows out, that boxstock can be very nice too. Awesome looking merc', I like that engine a lot too and chassis work is very nice also. Your skills are awesome, keep these models coming, can't wait to see more of your work.
davyou5 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I love that Lime Green! Though I still have yet to finish my conversion to a '50, That is one Clean and Excellent Build! .
Dave B Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) Very nice build, love the colour, my 'stock' build is irridescent orange!! Edited December 29, 2010 by Bantoft
Smart-Resins Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Very nice!! Love the color and how you executed the build!
EH225M Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Cool!, I was just scrolling through the pics and noticed the rego plate! Nice build, but the plate made me stop. Nice touch mate! James.

MikeMc Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Sweet......did you open up the doors and trunk, or wash the lines??
vizio93 Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Really nice job, I like the fuzzy dice on the rear view !!!
slant6 Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 You guys building these old Mercury's never fail to impress. Great work, great color, love the look of this car!
seeker589 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Uber clean! Love it! I was looking for a green that pops and sparkles - looks like I found it! Thanks for sharing!
northendmetalallstar Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Awesome job!! I love it!. How did you do the chrome trim around the front and rear windows to get that raised look? On my kit there is no molded in trim, its just flat to the edge of the window.
Kanedge Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 Thanks for the kind comments. For the front and rear windows, the BMF was done onto the glass piece itself and then installed onto the car. Hope this helps.
northendmetalallstar Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Brilliant! I wouldn't have thought of that. Thank you very much for your quick response.
Kanedge Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 No worries, just make sure when your trimming you go slowly, you don't want to slip on the glass.
