wgflatliner
This happened here in my town last night. there are some adult word moments in here so just keep that in mind (and this is one of the reasons it took me an hour and a half to drive a half a mile). publicsafety
Not a lot of snow. Up here in Ontario Canada we get snow in mesured feet LOL . But looking at the video I don't think its the snow wich is the problem. I am guessing its the ice . Only car I've ever wrecked was because of ice, man I HATE ice !!! JustBill
I was watching this video and before I knew it the whole family was standing around me and we were just in all! I guess when your in a situation like that all you can do is laugh. Thanks for sharing, I said it before and I'll say it again, I hate the winter! crazyjim
But there's always a good side! Think of the work the local body shop(s) will have soon. Maybe they'll have to hire additional people too - more jobs.
niteowl7710
That's not snow, that's ice. Yeah there's a dose of snow on the road, but I'm betting there's a 1/4 in or more of ice underneath of it. Anyone who deals with that in the winter knows that snow isn't slippery, heck the way to get up that hill would be to drive on the snow that hasn't been touched. Also not riding your brakes backwards in a total panic would be helpful as well...
Railfreak78
Looks like the Jeep in the middle of the road at 5:42 has some blame too. That red Ford truck and the White Superduty both would have made it if they didn't have to turn around the Jeep. Thats when the White Superduty lost its momentum. That stinks for everyone involved. crazyjim
Since we a had sunny day and about 78 degrees, I love it. I,m still trying to forget the snow storm of 1967 in Chicago.
CAL
Colorado Springs. That video actaully hit our local Denver news. Not as bad up here. It was colder, just as much snow but colder. That right around freezing snow is slippery here and they (the Springs) was just north of the freezing line.

davyou5
Note for the Video; I think the white truck toward the end of the video would have made it to the stop lights if he didn't stop were he did. Denver? I live in Casper Wy, so I am about 5 hours away from there, But I will have to go one day over the summer and check out the Hobby shops . Rob Hall
I used to live in Colorado Springs and Denver. I remember some huge snow storms in both places! Been cold here in Phoenix the last few days.
Adam144
The Jeep TJ at 0:52 made it up cleanly. Ha to stop briefly at the top but kept going. No stopping the 4.0L.

Yep...I drove through 8 Colorado winters w/ my Grand Cherokee w/ the 4.0L..only got stuck twice, both times my own fault.
