Had this old Lindberg about 75% finished years ago. Pulled it out to finish and the chrome had gone bad. Must be pretty common for these kits, as 2 more have done the same thing. Screwed up the paint on the front cap trying to remove the spears and couldn't remember the paint mix. Decided to do it as an old car that had been wrecked, then put back on the street with a replacement front cap and "hot rodded". Dropped in the AMT '56 Y block. Home made sheet metal hood scoop. Reversed the front spindles to get a little lift. Put exhaust cut-outs and glass packs. Radiused wheel wells. Un polished Americans. Dirtied everything up a bit. Still got a bunch of small things to finish up. Just an old low buck street/drag car from around mid 60's.

I really like it! Cool idea and I think you found the right mix of parts to make it into some midsixties street/strip warrior. The local hero sort of, maybe parked by some old gas station. Diorama hint..... B):o

Man, does THAT bring back some memories!!! GREAT job. Those little cars were ALOT more common at the strip than the fancy finished all painted up ones!!! It came out GREAT!:):rolleyes:B)
