Guest Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 AMT's old 51 fleetline.notice the firewall, that is the orginal color of the paint. I cleared everything else with testors clear. Do not use it over light or pastel colors, it will yellow.
David G. Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Very nice, the interior detail and chassis weathering are excellent! David G.
oldscool Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 That looks really nice MP. You picked a fitting color for it too. One small nitpick if I may - it doesn't look like the body is all the way down on the chassis to me. There shouldn't be gaps between the bumper mounts and body. oldscool the lonesome polecat
Nick Winter Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Looks great. Can ask what you used for the fuel filter? Nick
Danno Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 It looks like an electronics resistor. I've used them, too, for in-line fuel filters, but I've usually painted the bodies silver to represent the typical over-the-counter fuel filter and to reduce the Radio Shack look. Nice build.
Chuck Most Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Another beauty, Lee! Yeah- I've kept clear of Testors Gloss clear enamel for years now. Looks really 'great' on a white car.
Guest Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the kind comments guys.Yeah, there were a couple of alignment issues, but I didnt want to risk breaking stuff to fix it. Lazy I guess, lol. Yes, the fuel filter is a resistor. you can paint them silver to simulate metal filters as well. Edited January 26, 2011 by midnightprowler
mikemodeler Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 nice one there Lee, clean details and nice paint work.

Ok Thanks, I have a few but wasn't sure what they actually were, I think I stole them from a broken radio.
