walt francis Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Your scratch building is just second to none, just one question how many coats of alcalad do you use an what kind of wash do you use on it to bring out that true metal look...Thanks

Greg Pugh Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 John, I'm still trying to decide if your work inspires me or leads me to believe that I should just retire from model-building all together.. Honestly.....your work is just jaw-dropping! Awesome!!

(Not even counting your other bike models!) Man. I have a hard enough time getting something to turn out okay once, let alone turn it out incredible three times! WOW!

Iron Fist Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) That looks like your staring at the real thing. What did you use for the header wrap? Edited March 9, 2011 by Iron Fist
Erik Smith Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 John - this is a really great build. I can't believe your tackling it twice - I get burned out after one build and couldn't think of starting over again! Really like all metal surfaces on the engines - nice, smooth, and realistic. I have been looking over your spot in MCM 154, nice to put a face to the models! I appreciate the time you take to post on this forum - thanks!
John Teresi Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Hello......I got the body pretty much done today ......I need to do some shaping and sanding......I should be able to primer tomorrow......thank`s for looking
vaughn Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 Its shaping up great John. I have a question. Those hinges you did on the Rolls. I have finally gotten to a point I can work again on this and need some help with the hinges.(decided to go ahead and do them. probably change the color of doors anyway) You said you cut 6 small moon shape peices. Is that round, half moon, quarter moon? Is there a tutorial on it anywhere? I bought 3/32 tubing for hinges and .030 thick sheet for the moons. Are these correct? If you care to share some insight,I am all ears. Know you are busy but if time allows. Thanks.
