Just don't pick up 155 until next pay day. B)

I subscribe due to the lack of any Hobby shops that carry them within a 3 hour drive (remember ol Gilligan ???):lol:dry.gif

I'm getting tired of MCM's stuffing my mailbox every couple o' weeks!!!!

I'm gonna write Gregg a nasty email soon... B)

Oh great ... now I have to clean the "reading room" for space ... bye bye Road and Track!

There's our new slogan: Model Cars keeps you regular! :)

I read MCM religiously........as in 'Oh my God, they actually have it this visit'! Yeah, still haven't seen 153 show up here yet, and you guys are getting 154-155. Wonder if Ohio is a Black Hole for MCM?

Naw, Ohio is just a regular Black Hole.

(sorry, I went to school in Indiana just over the line in Angola ... and Ohio was the LONGEST drive coming back from semester break) ;)

I received my issue 155 today.

I'll go out on a limb and say it was a good issue, not great, but then again not all of them can be.

One thing I would like to point out on this issue was the last page ad from Scale Motorsport concerning their Carbon Fiber decals. Not only is the ad selling you something it also gives a brief history of the CF as well as series and colors on the right hand side. Pretty nice ad. Which brings me to my next point. To whomever sets this rag up I appreciate being able to thumb over to the last few pages and find the ads. I don't know why I like this, but I am guessing I am able to read the magazine, then filter through the ads if needed. I like that layout.

Looking forward to the next issue.

Chris

Geesh Lee - you know, if yo udon't like the Forum, Magazine, Website, or Gregg, you are more than welcome to leave. The Door is that way -->

In fact, I'd appreciate it if you took your negative attitude toward everything that is here & go elsewhere. Away from here. If you have anything to positive contribute to here I certainly love to here it, otherwise, Shut your Piehole.

Jost one more thing... Since this is Gregg's Forum, He and whoever he nominates as a moderator can determine what is considered 'Free Speech' around here. Again, if you don't like it, You are free to go.

Or, for that matter, Lee ... feel free to start your own forum at your own expense and promote 'free speech' by allowing anybody and everybody to bash you left and right on your own forum at your expense.

You are right: It is a FREE world so long as SOMEBODY pays for it.

Mine arrived fast.. got it yesterday. But, I think we need to inform Brad Leisure what "channeling" and "sectioning" means. He had great sketches showing the locations to section his pickup ... but this task was referred to as channeling in the text. The sketches were so clear that it really doesn't matter, but these are about the most basic customizing terms.

My bet is that Harry edited his text, ie. Pocher builders don't section!:rolleyes:

Hmmm... I'll have to go back and check Brad's original text. If I screwed up I'll come clean!

Got mine today, too. 64 pages!!!

Excellent issue, as has become customary!

GREAT stories, including another terrific history feature (on the Black Widow hot rod) by Dennis Doty and Gregg; a tour of the Intl Model Builders Museum in Salt Lake City by Tim Boyd; a study of stock car kits by Bill Coulter; and a multi-page feature on John Teresi's magnificent fleet of models!

AND I'm betting this is the FIRST magazine appearance of a built up Moebius Lonestar. Good looking build, Tim!

A CLOSE-UP look at the Offenhauser midget.

PLUS several great how-to's!

One awesome magazine!!

Yup. Clearly refers to 'channeling' but describes 'sectioning.'

Still, not the worst magazine screw-up I've ever seen. There's another one that consistently ... well, no need to go there!

Ok... that was my mistake. Brad used the word "remove" in his original text... I have no idea how or why the word "channeled" was used instead. Maybe I was under the influence of.... uh... oh, forget it. I screwed up.

It's a good one! The profile on John Teresi was great, the coverage of the Model Car Museum was awesome, Jairus' 'illustrated rat rod guide' has given me all sorts of sick, twisted ideas... and the whole thing is 100% Chuck Most free! May be the best article yet...

Thank you, Dan!

I'll be honest... reactions like this make all the work worth the time and effort.
