Randy D Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Thank you to all that commented!!! It is really cool to read your comments A couple of replies.. Jeremy, No r/c , I just like the solder! Danno, Sorry, the shifter does not move the linkage! Fastback, Sorry, kinda slow going here Erik, Tried to show more of the process this time... Last update I ended with a mockup of the firewall, will continue with that and also the cab floor... Mock up, using K & S Eng. copper and tin sheet stock. Both solder easy and are soft & easy to work with.. Edited April 3, 2011 by Randy D
Randy D Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 When I am soldering something together like this, it is easy if the parts are held together securely and all I have to do is apply heat. I work on a piece of Homosote building board. It is a pressed paper product. I like it 'cause it holds pins well and acts as a heat sink. A piece of ceiling tile would also work. test fit to make sure the battery box clears the motor... test fit of the heater hoses... Cab floor...
Randy D Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 A sloopy worker's best friend!! test fit of both pieces together... adding some rivet detail and test fitting the shifters, I need the extra one for the two speed rear axle..
Randy D Posted April 3, 2011 Author Posted April 3, 2011 more details for the firewall, fuel filter, heater details and the brake m.c. ..... That is all for now, thank you for checking in!! Randy
Tumbler75 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Absolutely stunning work! The attention to detail is amazing! Looks like it would run with a li'l gasoline. Keep up the great work! I am watchin' for sure.

I have seen some sick stuff over the years, models of whatever where I did not know if model or real, 1:9 Pocher stuff that some dude used to build a metal car, scratchbuilds of mchinery that makes you sick, cars that looked so real that i was sure somebody photographed ral vehicle, but this is just unbelivable. Blows my mind... Edited April 5, 2011 by Mr.Zombie
