SkinnyDan
I'm not sure where else to post this, so I'll just post it here. I just started working on my second model, a Revell 06 Mustang GT. I have had this kit for about 3 years, I originally opened the package when I got it, but then put it away due to moving. Last night I opened up the kit to check and make sure all of the parts are there and have every thing ready to paint and fit. While doing this I realized that I am missing the wheel pins and the metal exhaust tips. The exhaust tips I can do with out, but I don't know what to do about not having the wheel pins. Revell's website says I need to provide a copy of the receipt for the purchase of the kit to request replacment parts, but being that I bought the kit 3 years ago I don't have that. Is there any where that I can purchase these wheel pins, or does anyone know what I can do to make my own. I didn't post this in the Wanted section, due to the fact that this is only my second kit, my first is awaiting the body to be painted, and I don't have anything to trade for parts. Thank you for any help.
crazyjim
I've dealt with Revell several times for missing/replacement parts and never provided a reciept. They always wanted the original UPC from the box. You may want to try calling them.
paul alflen
IF THE KIT IS STILL CURRENT,THEY WILL SEND YOU THE PARTS FOR THE UPC CODE ON THE SIDE OF THE BOX AT NO CHARGE. IF YOU DONT HAVE THE UPC CODE THEY WILL BILL FOR POSTAGE FOR THE PARTS.IF THE KIT IS NOT BEING PRODUCED RIGHT NOW BY REVELL YOU WILL HAVE TO POST THIS IN THE WANTED SECTION. AS A LAST RESORT TRY THE SLOT CAR SECTION. SLOT CAR GUYS BUY THE KITS FOR THE BODY, GLASS AND INTERIOR.MOST WILL SELL THE LEFTOVER PARTS FOR CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!! GO TO THE REVELL- MONOGRAM WEBSITE FOR CLARIFICATION ON THE PART REPLACEMENT. Edited March 10, 2011 by paul alflen
george 53
Maybe you could use a really thin brad, or finishing nail. Couldn't hurt to try. B)

SkinnyDan
Can you upload a pic. I have a few salvage parts for mustanges. Are these the pins that hold the wheel to the rotors from the back ? I'll snap a pic when I get home from work tonight, but that sounds like them. And from looking at the Revell website the kit is no longer in production. Zoom Zoom
You don't need those pins, they fit rather loose and sloppy...just get some styrene rod or whittle down some sprue to fit. Unless you just have to have the wheels roll when you go "vroom vroom" on the kitchen floor...
SkinnyDan
Thanks everyone, I guess I'll just get some styrene rod and make my own.
oldscool
If rolling wheels aren't a requirement for you then just super glue the wheels to the suspension parts. It worked for me. grumpy gus
