Like I said in my "on the bench" thread, I got this one done Friday evening for NNL East. Pretty much box stock except for shifter, steering wheel, wheels, tires and stance. Rear suspension is out-of-box, but I had to remove the section between the lower A arms on the piece up front to snuggle it down.

Paint it Testors lacquer Chevy Nassau Blue polished with Micromesh cloths and Meguiar's #7. I drilled out the hood scoops. White letter tires done with Shabo transfers.

Spring is here --> us Northeasterners can take pictures outside again! Thanks for lQQkin.

That is sharp Matt! Sounds like you did exactly what I did stance-wise on mine. I wish I had done up the letters on the tires, that looks a lot better than the blackwalls on mine.

Sigh.........that brings back some senior year high school memories circa 1978-79. Some pleasant some not so pleasant. I knew of a couple classmates that had '68 Firebirds set up exactly as your model is done, albeit different colors. 8) Raised white letter tires and all.

Beautiful job on this one my man!...........And thanks for the memories.
