Joe Handley Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Well I'll be....................I thought it was just another mid-engined supercar, wonder why they chose that layout?
Rob Hall Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Well I'll be....................I thought it was just another mid-engined supercar, wonder why they chose that layout? Nope, front engine, rear transaxle, like many other sports cars (such as the Corvette). Near perfect 50/50 balance.
Joe Handley Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Eh, I just figured they go with the Me Too Mid-Engined approach like most seem to go with, gotta give them a thumbs up for keeping the engine where it belongs!
Chuck Most Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Rear transaxle? Oh heck yeah. That's going into a Deuce at some point. THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!!!
LDO Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!!! And the rest of the kit could be unloaded on eBay as a curbside. Oh yeah. It's a shame the real car costs so much. I don't think would ever be done in real life.

Gregg Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 Painted the body today, Tamiya Bright Orange. Will do clear in a while. Interesting body, to say the least
Erik Smith Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Interesting, yes, you can see it's related to the Celica. I'm looking forward to the engine/drivetrain.

I don't think would ever be done in real life. Come to think of it, you could also take the body and make a Supra motored Pro Mod out of it too

Joe Handley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Lexus? yawn....... Gimme a Moebius Hornet anytime... I'll take two of those over the Lexus anytime.......no matter what the scale
kluu8 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 hi just would like someone to help me. this is my first modeling kit i bought and im really excited cause i used to build gundams but ive grown to love cars and how cool it would be to build one. but yeah on to the question. uhh during the first few steps in the manual does anyone find it very hard to keep the parts together??? when building the engine. every time i assemble it i cant never keep it in one piece it alwys falls apart
jbwelda Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 what kind of adhesive are you using? and i for one would love to see a progress report on this model! Gregg?
jdmfan Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 i had no problems with this kit . it was probably one of the best kits ive built . as in all the parts fitting together. it is most likely the glue that you are using
kluu8 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 well what kind of tamiya adhesive should i be using?? i have the cement for it.
Gregg Posted September 4, 2011 Author Posted September 4, 2011 I use the Tenax 7R liquid glue for most of all my kits that I build. That and clothespins or rubber bands will work all the time. As for the progress of the Lexus, it fell off the table and has to be repainted. Probably same color, maybe more metallic, something from Scalefinishes.com of course!
