thumper86 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) yeah I had to bend the hoop to fit the body contour ,was not fun but I am really loving it now lol. Edited March 28, 2011 by thumper86
sjordan2 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Which kit is this? Entex 1/16? PS: I saw one build of it where the builder had made the spaceframe white; this is probably because early factory prototype photos showed it that way in order to highlight its structure to the press. Production models had black spaceframes. I have tons of info on Gullwings. feel free to PM me with any questions or reference needs. And that's a significant chunk of bodywork missing from the rear quarter windows and fenders. Do you have something special in mind? Edited March 28, 2011 by sjordan2
thumper86 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 I think its a amt 1/24 - 1/25 scale thank you the info offer .

thumper86 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Didn't these things come with a 6 banger?
walt francis Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 A gullwing with a full cage, it just doesn't get any better.
Tumbler75 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Interesting concept! I love it. Keep us updated on this build. I'm watching this for sure.
george 53 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Yeah, they were DOHC fuel injected straight six's. What are you gonna be runnin in it?
mikemodeler Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 That is going to be a different ride to be sure! I worked at a MB dealer in high school and the owner had an all original Gull Wing that was valued at $500,000 and that was 30 years ago. There were only 3 people allowed to drive that car (and I wasn't one of them) due to the rarity and value. I would think a Viper V-10 would look good under that hood, that or a 572!
pharr7226 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 This is a great concept. The long nose lends itself to a promod. The cage is brilliant as always. I love it! Go with it Thumper.
thumper86 Posted March 30, 2011 Author Posted March 30, 2011 ok after much thought for a power plant lol. I am going to use a ross gibson pro stock hemi and make an inline 6 from it on NOS so I am now building the head for it and intake stay tuned this will be getting good lol.
