lowriderphil Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Sadly they were both sold a few years back
Dominik Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Cool Caddys Phil. What kits are these? Are they DieCasts?
gray07 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I know these are not as great as all of yours but i figured i would post some up to. I built all 4 of these when they first came out, so dont laugh.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 These make me want to build another Caddy. I have one or two kits left, but I need to get my hands on the Ghostbuster model.
Dominik Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Oh Shelly and Darrin! Awesome Caddys!!! Did you know (i think you know it), how rare these kits are? Some of my friends (me too) would give "the last shirt" for it. Wow!
Chuck Most Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 That black hearse is worth some big bucks, but you know what? I'm glad you're BUILDING them instead of merely just collecting them.

2000-cvpi Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Don't laugh too hard, these Cadillac's were some of the first glue models that I built. My dad helped me build them, he painted, helped me glue and assemble the model's. I learned how to remove parts from the sprue's, hold parts together while tube glue dried and how to follow the instructions. Above all else I got to spend time with my dad. The hood is long gone from the 64.
Dominik Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Why should we laugh? You have your beginning "gluecareer" kept safe in the shelf. I think, the memorys when you look at the cars are unique and invaluable. Cool, Corey. Hold them.
Skydime Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) Looks Great...But do we even want to know what would be hauled on top of that one? Edited October 20, 2011 by Skydime
Chromecop Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 So far this one is my only finished Caddy. A Jo-Han "Heavenly Hearse" built as a ratty old hearse complete w coffin and everything: But...I do have a few more to come....eventually....
Chuck Most Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Love that hearse... you even included the obligatory 'dead guy'!
Dr. Cranky Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 They are rereleasing the Ghostbusters Caddy.
Dominik Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Cooool ride Manuel - awesome! Where have you get these strewballs (?) in the trunk?
mr moto Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Cooool ride Manuel - awesome! Where have you get these strewballs (?) in the trunk? I don't remember the exact place where I got the hay bales. It was an on-line vendor that specialized in model railroading. They've been modified a lot also. I added the "bailing wire" using small jewelry wire. To make them look more like real hay, I filled a plastic bag with short bristles cut off of disposable paintbrushes and then I sprayed the bales with clear Krylon, quickly dropped them into the bag and shook. When they came out they had a nice "fuzzy" appearance.
Mr.Zombie Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Very cool. I don't lkie the horns though, but the rest is absolutley spot on. Howdya make the windows look like they look? And some pics of the interior?

Jeff Johnston Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 OK I'll play... but I'll take you in a totally different direction. This was the weird Uptown kit with XS Tuning wheels and tires out of the 06 Mustang GT kit.
Kris Morgan Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Some nice builds here. Not to hijack the thread but, Just to let all you Caddy fans know,,, We will soon be casting a 69 Coupe Deville. It will be a curbside and, complete minus tires and, wheel backs. Any interest in this kit???
sjordan2 Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Boy, there's some great stuff here. My favorite Cadillac model that I've ever seen is John Teresi's 1/16 1933 V-16 Town Car. I won't post images without his permission, but check it out and you'll see it's typical Teresi excellence all the way. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34883&hl=%2B1933+%2Bcadillac&fromsearch=1
Terry Jessee Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I have these. The '50 is a little farther along, but is still not quite finished. Maybe a few days. Terry
