there is nothing from the AWB Falcon kit that will work on the Trumpeter kit and vice versa. two kits from two different time periods made by two different companies in two totally different parts of the world.

not sure why people are so GaGa over the AWB kit. that thing has to be the most downright crude, lousy representation of a Falcon if there ever was one. everyone is so busy trashing the Trumpeter kit when that old AWB is one serious pile of scrap. while the old annual looks to be a workable option to those who may be so inclined to do so the buy in price and ease of availability kill that option for me. once you've sourced the old annual, the '67 Mustang kit and bought the rest of the pieces from various sources to build what you want then you are in it for more than the Trumpeter kit is apparently going to retail for.

now back to Gregg and his Falcon, since this is HIS thread and it is all about HIM remember? :D

You're right about that Dave, those AMT AWB kits are rather crude.

Looks great, Gregg. The engine compartment an chassis alone are worth not going with the old annual kit. Trumpeter seems to be getting a little better with each kit, and I'll definitely get this and the Ranchero when financial conditions warrant.

Hey, Big Kahuna... no black wash on the grille? No headlight lenses? No amber turn signals?

Or is it still "on the bench?"

Hey, Kahunmeister!

Beautiful build.

Seriously now, if you're in the neighborhood October 15, bring it over to the house. It will fit right in for the (Moonlight Modelers) club's October monthly contest theme: Black & Orange!

{Sorry I missed seeing you at GSL, but life got in the way at this end.}

Aloha, Amigo.

Do we have pictures proving he built it? :P

How do we know Miss Kelly didn't build it for him?

Inquiring minds want to know. ;)

(Somehow, I can feel another 'go-to-your-room' coming on.) Go figger.

Gregg......I saw your beautiful build on the table.......and wanted to talk to you about it ........but,I guess we both got side tracked at the show.......anyway, luv the model great paint scheme and wheels.......look`s awesome budy.

Yes....The build was on the table in person....with the sign... and It did look good. The color scheme is one of my favorites..black and Orange. Greg...you made me take a serious look at this kit for a second time. I like the Falcon anyway but you just made it better...

I don't know anything about how accurate it is or isn't but it looks like a great model.

Gregg - your finished model looks great and the color scheme is awesome. I don't know if it is just the angle of the photo or what but it looks like the front wheel is kinked oddly. Like the lower A-arm is disconnected or something.

Actually, it was dummied up for the show.

The suspension/driveline was not even there!

I am going to redo the motor thanks to the post with the crate engine shot.

I hope to get it done soon.

I love the kit, and the responses it got from GSL were all positive.

Thanks, Guys!!

I have had mine for a couple weeks now. Slowly building it stock. I have the engine, chassie and interior steps done. I like the kit. First one is going to be box stock. Mine is red with red interior like on the box. I did paint my engine gold as in High Performance 289 of that year. Duel exhust single 4bl. carb.

Gregg, I think you really made for a great looking ride, the idea of the crate engine is a fine idea although the one you already have settled in looks really good also... B) I just picked one of these up at my LHS and am starting to develop some plans for it, not too sure if I want to do a mild street ride or go with an A/FX styled track car. OH well, enough of mine, can't wait to see what progress you may have in store for us.
