about a year ago i got a box full of half built models and a butt load of parts from my step dad. this was one that fell apart i put back together to clear up some space on the bench shortly after receiving them. it was never really put together fully. it was missing some engine pieces and i have no idea where the hood went. it pretty much looked like dirt so i decided why not do something with it. i didnt wanna do a rebuild and lately ive been a rust junkie. i tore it apart and went to town weathering this thing.

Almost brings a tear to your eye, especially if you found this neglected beauty in weed-overgrown backyard.

Definitely sweet weathering!!!

I wasn't sure if that was a hemi or some weird head on a chevy big block. either way thats a killer build!

that is a Dual Over Head Cam 426 hemi

only two of them were ever build

it was dodge's response to fords 427 cammer engine

when nascar outlawed the ford cammer engine the dodge hemi once again reigned supreme and the DOHC hemi project was aborted

it is now clear where at least one of those two DOHC hemis went.....under the table to chevys racing department

(on a side note, this engine can be found in the AMT 71 pro street superbee kit)

and yes, great job on weathering it

That looks nasty, I mean that in the nicest way...

It is a shame to see a rare hemi Camaro in such a state of neglect though...

Especially the rare, DOHC Hemi...
