The oil pump came out great (whats new!), the distributor is coming out real nice also, one thing I notice is missing Rom, don't forget to drill a hole for the coil wire.

^^That's a weird lookin magneto up there....

I've never seen one like that....That one looks like it has a normal points distributor cap on it.

EDIT-oh, the one RIGHT above, that explains it a little better :D

modern magneto's use a separate coil unlike the older style which was all self contained

Dave is correct and the car that im building had a separate magneto as pictured above. And please keep in mind that this distributor is not complete yet. thx for your observation and your comments B)

Rom, I keep following this build and I only have one question. Would you like my shrink's phone number?

Never mind. You can see how much good it's done me.

Keep on showin' us how it's done Dude.

Your talents are amazing. It's looking really good so far. That MSD distributor is looking very good, and so does all of the scratchbuilt parts. Engine looks simply awesome. Chassis is great looking too, and I like what you've done to the rear fenders. Keep it coming, this project is very great to watch... :P

Well fellas I was able to get a Lil more done tonight I hope you enjoy the progress shots of the tanks and puke tank breather

ok got the tanks ready for primer and paint

tanks002-1.jpg

I needed to make a breather for the puke tank so I used a polishing wheel from my dremel as the filter and some odds and ends from my parts box.

almost finished breather

You just keep raising the barre Rom (if I may call you Rom, master would be more apropriate).

Great job you are doing here. Sure works very inspirational.

Maybe I must start thinking on fabricating a Pro Mod myself. ;)

Greetings, Mark

This entire thread continues to be a how-to primer on building a highly detailed pro-mod. No need to search the 'net for reference on the real pro-mod's anymore, its all right here in one thread. Really enjoying every step of this build. Those tanks are superb Rom.

Rom.... Love the progress that you have made on this. From the distributor to the Tanks. Nice job done my friend and some great work you got going. It looks very nice and it continues to get better and better. The Tanks turned out great and nice touch with the photo-etch parts and the turned aluminum as well. This here has to be my favorite picture so far, I don't know what it is but its the angle and just everything about it. Awesome work!!
