Okay, I gotta ask. Why are you using brass for such things like that digital dash. The same steps could have been done in styrene and probably come up with the same result in half the time. For the size of the model a brass chassis makes a lot of sense, but all the smaller details?

Please don't take this as a bash, I'm just supremely curious as to why all the extra work?

Im just pushing my skills Bro Ive done all this in styrene before (sorta)but brass is a whole new frontier for me , I like seeing what I can do thats new. Modelling for me is trying to take one step further than I took on the last project. Not to mention this will be the most solid model I have ever built LOL! Thanks for asking and it was an honest question not taken as a bash at all.

This looks very good so far, Romell! Very much work behind, and lots of work ahead too, but I think this will be amazing build when finished. Engine looks really good, and wheels and tires are great too. Thanx for sharing this amazing build with us.

I just have a small update today im getting the last of the body work done so I can get some paint on her finaly. but thats not what im about to show you LOL!

I need to make some wheel knock offs for the front wheels , I wish I could tell you I fabricated these but I cant, What I did was go to the local hardware store and get some small nuts that will fit my spindles and I modified them heres what i did......

I started with a normal nut from the hardware store but it was too wide so it had to have some of it cut away...

locknut001.jpg

you can see in this pic how it was cut.....

locknut005.jpg

Once it was the right size I notched it and fit it on the spindle , but it still needs some paint....

locknut004.jpg

the notch is for the retainer pin I will make next , heres the knock off with paint on them.....

I hope you enjoyed this very small update..... B)

Clever trick Rom. What did you use to cut that little nut?

Just my trusty Dremel with a cutting wheel attachment held with a pair of channel locks. Thx for tunnin in Rick! B)

Thanks Tyrone. That makes sense. I was the dragchute packer, lugnut tightener, and tire pressure guy for a friends '75 Nova a bunch of years back. I think the car ran super comp? It was "Project Eagle" and all done up in red, white, and blue with POW/MIA logos, American eagle's, and looked great. Rick to go to Florida to some drag racing school for a license because of the speed of the car. I don't remember if it wheelie bars or not.
