MicroNitro Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 That is very cool, there are so many pro stock mavericks that could be built with that body.
Dragracer Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Looks pretty cool, doing some 1/16th Funny Cars sounds like a neat idea!
Chuck Kourouklis Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 WHOAH! And it even looks reasonably good! Hey Rat, did Fujimi do any other 1:16 subjects like that one?
Romell R Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 This is gonna be a great project! cant wait to see it done or in process. Let me know when you get those bodies cast i'd like to buy one from you.
stump Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Chuck, those are sooooooooooooooooo rare, Fujimi has placed me as project leader to gather ALL remaining kits worldwide. .... TOTAL recall...................................................... Please forward to the address at the bottom of this post. NOTE: The above is totally false and misleading. Man, I NEVER even knew this kit existed....... How often have you seen them @ the auction place Chuck ? I too would LOVE a copy of the stock body if you end up casting them.
Mr.1/16th Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I got this in a trade . I have been chasing it for 10 years . Now I just need to get it casted so I can have more bodies and make a funny car too Chuck send it to RMR and have Ron Cast it for you!

Mr.1/16th Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I'd buy some of those in resin!!!!!!!!!! Paul X2!
Casey Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Unfortunately Chuck/ratnasty passed away a few years ago, and I don't think he made any progress on his kit's body. I wonder what happened to the body I sold on eBay a decade plus ago. ?♂️ Pretty sure the buyer was in IL. And yes, the gold and dark green are the colors those pieces were molded in, straight from Fujimi. White pieces are sections of a 1/16 Revell Vega F/c and sheet styrene I patched in. Other than the Plastic Fantastic Maverick F/C and another yellow one, I don't recall the body being very popular at all in 1:1.
Mark Posted May 17, 2021 Posted May 17, 2021 Mickey Thompson ran a Maverick for a short time. Al Van der Woude (Flying Dutchman) replaced the Charger III body on one of his cars with a Maverick also. The Maverick got overlooked in 1970 in favor of the Mustang (guys not building new cars for 1970 could bodywork a '69 Mustang into a '70), 1971-on favored the new Mustang and the Pinto.
Brian Austin Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Kind of hard to tell what this thread is about with the initial pictures missing. :-(
Mark Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Well, the OP apparently passed a few years ago, his Fotki account must have lapsed taking away the photos. I've never seen the 1/16 scale Fujimi Maverick kit, but apparently the body in it is better than average for a foreign kit from that period.
