Chuck, those are sooooooooooooooooo rare, Fujimi has placed me as project leader to gather ALL remaining kits worldwide. .... TOTAL recall......................................................B)

Please forward to the address at the bottom of this post.

NOTE:

The above is totally false and misleading.

Man, I NEVER even knew this kit existed.......;) How often have you seen them @ the auction place Chuck ?

I too would LOVE a copy of the stock body if you end up casting them. B)

Unfortunately Chuck/ratnasty passed away a few years ago, and I don't think he made any progress on his kit's body.

I wonder what happened to the body I sold on eBay a decade plus ago. ?‍♂️ Pretty sure the buyer was in IL. And yes, the gold and dark green are the colors those pieces were molded in, straight from Fujimi. White pieces are sections of a 1/16 Revell Vega F/c and sheet styrene I patched in.

Other than the Plastic Fantastic Maverick F/C and another yellow one, I don't recall the body being very popular at all in 1:1.

Mickey Thompson ran a Maverick for a short time.  Al Van der Woude (Flying Dutchman) replaced the Charger III body on one of his cars with a Maverick also.

The Maverick got overlooked in 1970 in favor of the Mustang (guys not building new cars for 1970 could bodywork a '69 Mustang into a '70), 1971-on favored the new Mustang and the Pinto.

Well, the OP apparently passed a few years ago, his Fotki account must have lapsed taking away the photos.  I've never seen the 1/16 scale Fujimi Maverick kit, but apparently the body in it is better than average for a foreign kit from that period.
