well Tyrone, you know I have been admiring your work for a long time, so has everyone else here. you are a real artist and craftsman....

but....

you finally went and did something I just don't agree with. the new color on the car is great, but I preferred the other color better. I know, let the egg throwing commence. I just thought the blue/white combo with the side trim was awesome, this look is much more aggressive and is still a killer look. sorry.

(building those chevys is another problem..... joking..... MOPAR TO YA, Tyrone!!)

Al.... I understand where your coming from... I just was not happy with the way it turned out in blue... when I had to repaint the doors I could never get the colors to match back up right.... and then one night I managed to let some glue spill on the right side door, and the testors glue I used melted the styrene..(it was a pretty good sized glob)..I decided to out it away and come back to it later.. I removed the side trim though because I thought it would look better,,,(I like it better w/o them)... I was gonna paint it back the same color until I stumbled across the pic I put up... I think I like this look a little better though.....thanks for checking in...

Tyrone: you made a glue bomb mistake??? LOL. j/k I too like the Fiery Orange as I am just finishing up on an old Revell Tony Fonti LAPD Camaro kit which I changed the theme from LAPD to pro mod with Ron (am73grand) walking me through the process of building my own cage for the 1st time and putting the intense detailing on the engine. I shot the Testors and it came out a little darker as I used grey primer on the white body, but it looks great. I've never had luck spraying any clear, so I use that J&J floor wax liquid trick for a clear.

My only problem was the windshield and side windows - I meticulously used several sizes of Sharpie to outline the glass as it had those support strips molded into the kit around the edges. The the window install was from outside rather than inside and you know how older plastic kits warp over time; the Testors window glue still made a mess despite my best efforts. It has a lot more window decals now than I'd wanted to use but I still like it. I'm adding a Comp Resin promod/stock rectangular resin wing to the rear for a little extra.

Great job on your build as usual and thanks for giving us newbies a bar to aim for!

hehe, and I thought I was the only one who has those kind of accidents. nice recovery on the door. I really think just by changing the color and getting rid of the trim, they look like 2 completely different cars. it has a serious killer attitude the way it looks now, no doubt!! just another ridiculously sick build, Tyrone. and believe me, I check in on your stuff all the time. keep them coming, I enjoy every shot.

Sick Tyrone. ...definitely dig that alot ...where did the small mickey thompson decals come from if you're don't mind me asking

Branndon.... the M/T decals are acutally the M&H racemaster decals from the Slixx decals tire goody sheet.. the "T" is a modified "H" and the "/" is from the oversized M/T decal on there... (hope this makes sense)....lol....
