tyrone Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Just a small update on this one... I've got the windows finished up, and got the bumpers installed..
Red rocket 10 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Out of sight Tyrone Great looking model..................... Leonard
MitchP Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Tyrone: Those sure look like a bead or two from Hobby Lobby for the wheelie bar wheels I've just about given up on a clean install with plastic "glass". I use Testors glass glue, but no matter what, the age of the model, the placement of the install (from inside the body or out), everytime I try installing them it's a disaster. Not only that, but after a great Sharpie job for the window framing/reinforcement or SLIXX decals, it's still a challenge. I'm ready to start trying Pepsi 2 litre bottle material. Excellent detailing on the outlaw hood and the scoop combo. Did you order a resin one-piece outlaw hood and graft the scoop in or vice versa? Either way it's beautiful. If you've glanced at my Fotki builds so far, I started with the basic twin carb sportsman and then went to modding them into pro-mods like this: http://public.fotki.com/Mitchp/chevy-drag-racing/fotki-55-chevy-2-jpg.html to this: http://public.fotki.com/Mitchp/ford-drag-racing/hays-t-bird-pro-mod.html My attempt at bondo on a hood doesn't quite cut it yet LOL... And yes, I've tried the link, image, etc options and the pictures won't insert into the text. It says something about an illegal file extension Edited October 27, 2014 by MitchP

shelbrn90 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Both wheels look good, thanks for the info, I have a couple options. I have 2 projects on the shelf that I am looking for. Thanks again and the nova and the truck look great!!
Mooneyzs Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Tyrone.... wow I sure missed a bunch on this build this thing is gorgeous and I love that you painted the roof black instead of leaving it all one color. It added that extra touch. Sure love your work.
tyrone Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 wrapping this one up... got the rear chutes and kill switch done tonight... I also got the nos bottles, on/off valves and the plumbing done... few little odds and ends left...
Outlaw_Pitbull_0411 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Just curious why isn't the back painted where the taillights and trunk lines are..... looks great though regardless
Devilsnake98 Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Absolutely sick man! I love this thing so much. Might be my favorite of you're builds that I have seen. To be honest the only gripe I have is the taillight panel, I think it would have looked a little better body color or black to match the roof, but still looks good in silver.
Mister Twister Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Great work as usual Tyrone........It came together real nice!
MitchP Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Beautiful Tyrone: I'll be bookmarking this for reference on detailing for the love of the hobby. One suggestion: Hobby Lobby has nice brown hemp necklace rope that when painted aluminum makes a great 'chute line. No worries of lint showing. Thanks for giving us a view of your talent. Mitch
DrKerry Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Kool stuff Tyrone, love the duece and the dually!!!!

tyrone Posted November 1, 2014 Author Posted November 1, 2014 Eric... I wound up swapping those wheels for the ones from Moebius.. they have a kit with just wheels and tires now.. thanks for looking and comments welcome... I love this dually. I love the Moebius wheels. What did you use for the tires? I have 10 sets and counting. Most of my big rig builds i switch the kit wheels out for these. 1 of these days ill start my dually project thats been waiting for awhile. I had already planned on switching out the kit wheels for Moebius. This Nova is outstanding, like all of your builds. Im really liking the orange and black roof. Absolutely awesome work Tyrone!
Petetrucker07 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Thanks man. Ill have to try and aquire some of those.
511 nova Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Hey Tyrone wanted to say thanks for answering all my questions and going out of your way to explain your tricks of the trade so to speak at the show Saturday. Pictures don't do your models justice can't wait to see what's next.
