Wayne Buck Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 I like to go in the automotive section of "yahoo answers" and help people from time to time when I get bored. Anyway, I ran into one that I thought some of you guys might get a good chuckle out of: http://answers.yahoo...06134642AA5fzeH What is this world coming to?
Scale-Master Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 The part of me that favors natural selection wants to say go for it, but only for the driver's seat. What a moron! Now who here will do a model of it?
Modelmartin Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Beanbags for brains!!! I say let him voluntarily thin out the herd.
MikeMc Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 As long as the frame is securely fastened to the floorboards.... ;) Just hope he doesn't ask about flip flops and brakes.....
Tony T Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Reminds me of a local news story from this summer...Ford Windstar van, front passenger seat replaced with an armchair. Problem was there was no seatbelt and it wan't bolt in if I recall correctly (I'll see if I can find the story). I forget the reason for the roadside attention by the local constabulary, but it was not related directly to the armchair...happy coincidence? Beanbag chairs in cars...definitely Darwin Award Nomination material!
Skydime Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) I so want to say something bad about whoever that was who asked that but, I won't. Strangely enough, there may be a good reason...like trying to prove someone else right or wrong. Edited September 7, 2011 by Skydime
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Only some of the people, here in Arizona, I'm glad I live by the border, I see enough crazy, ummmmmm? stuff.....
Greg Myers Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've seen milk crates, wooden boxes, and lawn chairs, none of which were bolted down. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I taught High School Auto shop here in Arizona. Best one was the '66 Chevell that was jacked up to look like a ,who knows what. Looked pretty good until he got it on the lift and most of the 2x4's fell out of the springs.
Skydime Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) I've heard of buckets too....sometimes a bucket in a "bucket" Incidentally, I've never had a bucket in any of my "buckets" I've owned but, I have driven around the yard in the floor with vice grips for a steering wheel. Chuck Most Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Seats are overrated anyway. Ever heard of floor seating?
Danno Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 He's probably one of the (apprx.) 44% of drivers on AZ highways who has no driver's license or car insurance and cannot read the signs. BTW - that statistic was according to the AZ Dept of Insurance several years ago ... hopefully the percentage is smaller now (as a result of increased and intensified enforcement).
Ben Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Well, it depends...........is it a racing beanbag or just a regular beanbag?
XJ6 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Heck with the Bean Bag...I would use a Air Bag built in Lumbar..
kylexgore Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 heres another good one. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110907143549AADXEq1
Chuck Most Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I'm shocked none of his former 'tennants' have tried to kill him!
aarondupont Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 A bean bad passenger seat? Someone trying to off their significant other? But I do remember a friend back in the mid 60's. Had a 57 Chevy. Had car totally apart doing body work. We put a 396 big block in it. Got the car running. He wanted to test drive it, but NO interior. So being the young genius' we were, decided a lawn chair would work for the test ride. Sooooo....he revs the engine, dumps the clutch. 57 Chev takes off hard. Lawn chair folds up with my buddy and heads toward the rear of passenger compartment. Luckly, 57 Chev stalls, rolls to a stop against the curb. Only damage is to buddies ego due to hesterical laughing. And strangely, no alcohol was involved. But the bean bag chair and 15 year old that does not know how to drive, can you say "thinning the heard"?
moparmagiclives Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I'm not sure whats better, the questions or the responces trying to talk sence to these people.
Danny Lectro Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 When I see questions like these, I wonder:
Foxer Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) Now who here will do a model of it? Of course you know we've already done that here ... I made a 1/25 beanbag chair for my daughters van I'm working on The chair photos start on this page in my W.I.P. about halfway down if anyone is interested. Edited September 9, 2011 by Foxer

"I pity the fool who puts a beanbag in place of their car seat."
peekay Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Years ago, when I still lived in New Zealand, I was hitch-hiking and was picked up by a guy whose whole left leg was in a plaster cast. He was using a long stick to work the clutch......
