Hallo everybody,

today i want to show you a two-week-built from February this year.

In times, when i built too much details, i need a simple kit to relax. Based on the amt kit (#6062) with the camper inside, i tested on this car, how to weather decals and to brush street dust on it.

Take a look:

Nice work Dominik. My favorite part is the Nevada license plate. lol

Takes a lot of skill to take a model to that level of wear and tear. You said you did that to relax from highly detailed work? Try again.

I love it! I've always been a fan of 'backyard racers', rough and tumble, diamonds-in-the-rough, that have got it where they need it (usually, under the hood...)!

I love the junk in the bed and the interior detail with the ripped headliner... One question, if you don't mind; how did you simulate the cracked dashpad? It looks real.

. There i made about 180 details of stuff, to give this camper a real look in and outside. In a rest of this built to take new energy, i made my DragCamino.

Thanks Eddy for comment.

The dash.

- First i painted the dash with a dark brown.

- Then i took a cutter and made the cracks in a form like a " \/ ".

- Next step was to paint the cracks with highly diluted paint of black and

- at last i carefully whiped the dash with thinner on a cotton swabs (Q-tip?).

The positions of the cracks i choosed from Porsche 924 or VW Beetle 1303 for example - they had much cracks when they getting older - and a little inspiration of my buicks dashboard.

Hope you could follow the steps?

My name is Rob Mattis and I approve of this build.

Wow man, that really looks sharp. The weathering looks very authentic. The cracked side mirror is genius.

This looks just great! I like the weathering of it, very realistic. Especially those Drag Camino textes are looking really good. And those parts on the bed are looking good too, keep these models coming.
