Model Roundup says their's just arrived at $22.90 each and Tower Hobbies has them for $21.79 in limited quantities available.

Those are my two online retailers and I am sure there are others that have this kit available, so what are you waiting for? Order one (or more) today!

UPDATE: Had an email from Tower Hobbies, if you order at least $30.00, you get free shipping on the order. Use free shipping code 01A13 for the free shipping.

Can't hardly beat that deal. Get some supplies and a kit and free shipping to boot!

The Chrysler has been delayed... should be out early next year. Don't know about the HEMI. Anyone?

Chrysler and Desoto only used hemi's in 1955.

Harry, good find. Geez, there's a place that has it for 18.95. That's a good deal. But shipping costs can often almost go as high as the kit, so beware.

Shop smart and be happy!

Hey Cranky,

The site that has it for $18.95 would charge me $11.05 shipping to NC.It looks like they only use UPS which is more costly than Post Office.

I have one on hold at a LHS and they have it for $28.99.

I will be getting mine the first of the week.

Harry, the only engine available in a 1955 Chrysler (across all body styles and trim levels) was the 354cid Hemi V8.

Sometimes the best bet is to turn around and support your local hobby store, or a wonderful place like MODELROUNDUP!

And NO, they are not paying me to say that!

Google works very well on the principle of GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out).

That said, autocolorlibrary.com has all the postwar years of Hudson paint chips on their site, just search Hudson, then the year. Now, you will need to read the chip charts carefully, as they do note that certain colors were carryovers from 1952, even 1951. In addition, when researching the body colors for Moebius' instruction sheet, I found that the autocolorlibrary chip charts also show which colors could be combined for 2-tone schemes.

There weren't a lot of interior color options in 1953 for most makes of cars, including Hudson, particularly where ordinary passenger cars (coupes and sedans) were concerned. Dave Metzner, on the instruction sheet, shows a tan and brown scheme; there was also a light grey/dark grey scheme, available, the light grey in the same areas of upholstery as the tan in the pics on the instruction sheet.

In all cases however, it appears that Hudson painted the dashboards the the same color as used for the primary body color (whatever color was used on the middle portion of the body shell horizontally).

Hope this helps!

Just pick one source and buy because soon because the price will start climbing when stock is sold out the profiteers start to sell!
