Gregg Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 No joke. This was one of the cans that our own John Oszajca got from Hobby Town in Vegas
Rob Z Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'd be very interested to hear how well it does... If it's as good as or better than Tamiya's regular primers I may have to get some...
Erik Smith Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I've been milking a can of white for months. I'll have to head out this weekend and try to aqcuire some "new" stuff.
Ben Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Can't wait to hear how well it works compared to the original stuff!
SuperStockAndy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 For as long as we've had to wait, this stuff should better be the best stuff since sliced bread.
Lownslow Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 No joke. This was one of the cans that our own John Oszajca got from Hobby Town in Vegasnow available upside down, I think Las Vegas got the Australian shipment
Dr. Cranky Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Looks like it's got potential. I hope they sell it at a reasonable price cause it looks like a smaller can than say Plastikote.
RickRollerLT1 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 (edited) Now available upside down, I think Las Vegas got the Australian shipment Or someone was drunk or blind at the labeling department. Edited October 7, 2011 by V-spec
tabsscale1 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I'll just stick with my Duplicolor primer or my can of Automotive primer that i have. only paid $5 for my duplicolor last year and if i remember right is was buy 1 get one free. I have had no luck with Tamiya paints except for the water base stuff. Every can of Tamiya i ahve tried always turns out like the old testors enamels.
XJ6 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Yes all they did was put a new label over the old...and it is in English!....i picked some up about 2 weeks ago (N.California)....same product...just a different label..as to now the label states: This product contains chemicals which are known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Which is ok i still use it....now i wonder about the glue...
Lownslow Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Ahh good ol california, what they wouldn't do to make the rest of the world miserable. Their next trick is to make tamiya relabel their cans because its contents could harm the bohemian crested dung beetle of the redwood forest.

Nova-ss Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Don't give any idea's.they will cause trouble for everyone.Thanks,Chris
charlie8575 Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 The sad thing....each and every one of you are right. Hopefully, they'll start getting the paints back soon. They have a few colors I need that I can't find close equivalent to in Testors or Humbrol. Charlie Larkin
Chuck Most Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 $7.50 a can? No thank you. I'll stick with Duplicolor.
cruz Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Why fix it if it was not broken in the first place? I think is the same stuff as before and on top of that I am sure they will make it more expensive....
PatRedmond Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 $12.95 at my LHS here in Canada  $7.50 a can? No thank you. I'll stick with Duplicolor.
Keef Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 now the label states: This product contains chemicals which are known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. so basically as long as you dont smoke it or sleep with it you should be safe? C'mon people its not rocket surgery
Repstock Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 This product contains chemicals which are known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. I wonder why it isn't known to do these things anywhere but California? (tongue in cheek)
SuperStockAndy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Exactly!!!!! If it can cause cancer in California, why can't it cause it in Indiana?!
Merkur XR4Ti Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 $7.50 a can? No thank you. I'll stick with Duplicolor. If you're using Tamiya paints they'll soak right into the Duplicolor primer, making it difficult to get a smooth finish. I always use Tamiya's primer if I'm using Tamiya sprays because of that reason. Glad to see they're back.

(tongue in cheek) lol, i heard theyre putting the same disclaimer on water too. their state slogan should be California, Everything gives you cancer
SuperStockAndy Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 California, Everything gives you cancer
