Here's another one of my many projects,I started with a monogram 55 ford pickup and then out came the saw and bondo! I chopped the top, moved the front wheel openings forward, channeled the body lower in between the fenders, sectioned the hood, scratchbuilt a custom front end, and now I am working on scratchbuilding a frame with working suspension. e2e36b7d.jpg95dd0bbd.jpg100_1760.jpg100_1760.jpg100_1760.jpgthanks for looking! Sorry about the duplicate pics, no idea how that happened  Well anyway, heres the pics that were supposed to be in place of the duplicates, the first is the wheels i am hoping to find for this build, and the second is just another mockup :P

Looks good. What did you do with the hood? It looks more square than the stock hood, almost like a 72 Chevy pickup. I'll keep my eye on this one.

It does look a bit 'flatter'. I think he sectioned it.

Thanks a bunch guys! I did section the hood IIRC I ended up cutting 3mm out of it. And great Idea psychographic! I think I'm going to try the tuck n roll interior.

also thinkin about using the Ardun flathead out of the 50 ford p/u in this.

I am almost finished with the rear suspension, It's a fully functional 4-link made out of brass tubing and photo-etch brackets from dirtmodeler.com. All thats left is to make a set of coil overs and then I can move on to the front suspension which will also be functional.

Hers it is in the raised position.

And here it is fully lowered.

Thanks guys! Does anybody know if there is a place where I can get some bolts and nuts with a. 032 diameter to hold the suspension together? If not I could always just pin the rear suspension in place.

Nice work with the head lights. What do you have planned for the grill? Some small, horizontal bars of polished aluminum would look good.

You can get the small bolts and that from this site http://www.scalehardware.com/

Well I have been hard at work on this one lately,

I decided to open the doors, and once they are hinged they will be suicide doors.

I also made a wood bed out of some thin strips of balsa and "C" channel styrene.

Thanks for looking, next up will be functional front suspension!
