MachinistMark Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 what does my workbench look like.... like a bomb went off.
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Glad to see everyone's spaces. Interesting how so many of us end up with only the first few inches of the bench to actually build on! LOL
eizzle Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Funny you say that, I built my desk because I needed more room, I had a very small desk to start with. It was maybe 3 sq ft? I built mine 5' x 2' and I still end up working in a 1 foot area.
Bad Apple Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Here's one i been working on, 1/16 minicraft. Chopped the roof and made a new chassis and floors son i can drop it low. This is the first chopped top i ever did and the first chassis i ever made, still have some work to do on both until i'm satisfied with it.
W-409 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) Just changed to a new Workbench. It's a bit bigger and a lot nicer than my old one was. And guys, this bench is Never going to be this clean, the picture was taken right after I put the bench on place. (I try to keep it as clean as possible, but....... ) Edited September 28, 2013 by W-409

Get that from Dr. Cranky? Dale
W-409 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) Heh, it's actually not from the Doctor. It says Rust Racing Support on it, a Finnish Drag Race team that races with '26 Ford T and a HD Dragbike which runs 9,1 ETs, if it doesn't do a giant wheelstand at the start. Last year, they had also '28 Ford Funny Car. On 2013 Finals, they organized a Pork Barbecue-party for all Team Members and Drivers in the pits. Here's a picture (Not mine) http://kuvia.1g.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2013/FHRA/FhraEdra+Finals/MOP_4364.jpg Oh, and here is their Tow Vehicle for the bike: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8u4_o_58dA Edited September 29, 2013 by W-409

W-409 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Thanks, yeah, it is a great place, only time when I need to put the bench light on is when it's dark, and now I haven't used it on whole summer, because Finnish nights are not that dark. The little door is for a fresh air from outside. Better to keep it shut in the winter so I don't freeze...
JamesW Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Here's mine (ours). Left side is mine, right side belongs to a buddy. It's 8' long x 2' deep.

Mack_Mechanic Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Here's mine.I walled off and finished a corner of my 3 car sized garage. Not much compaired to some workshops out there, but it has all the comforts I need (A/C,satellite T.V. and lots of light).
crazyjim Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Nice, clean, and organized but you might want to move your beverage further away before it gets knocked over.
LokisTyro Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 The little door is for a fresh air from outside. Better to keep it shut in the winter so I don't freeze... Great place to get fresh air in the summer and keep a beer handy in the winter!
LokisTyro Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I started clean-up to get the bench ready for the take-a-turn build coming in. I use a Singer sewing machine cabinet/desk for various work. The sewing machine still works and folds up if I need to do any repairs or make something but it doesn't leave much room for knees...
KingSix Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Here's my basement man-cave. Party at Sean's house !!!!
ScaleDale Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 All the "man" stuff didn't impress me, but I love the "cave"! Dale
Repstock Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) This is it. The most important tool is the glasses. That little box under the Mustang pictures contains a ventilation fan that has been on continuously for over 21 years! Edited October 4, 2013 by Repstock
Ramfins59 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Sean, I so LOVE your basement area. Once my daughter gets married and moves out of my basement (hopefully next November) I can turn my basement into something similar.
Gothic Kustomz Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 If I could find mine, I would show ya, LOL.
Custom Mike Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 Here's my basement man-cave. I'm now the official head of the Sean Haters Club! That is awesome Sean, I would never leave the cave if I had something like that, just gimme a bed, bathroom and fridge with a microwave and I'm there for life!
