W-409 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Amazing looking build! Great job with it- that paintjob looks very good and decals seems to be fitting nicely. Engine detailing is super and rear tires and wheels look very realistic. I like this one a lot, great job with it. There's one thing, which could be done even better, maybe. Those spokes on the front wheels are too thick, I think. Maybe using photo-etch parts would make them bit better. But I know that, I've three Front Engine Dragsters coming, and I'm not going to buy them, because they are pretty expensive for my modeling budget. But great job anyway, I really enjoyed about the WIP topic. Keep these coming.
John Teresi Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Charlie.......hand`s down!....... the.best Tommy Ivo I have ever seen.......sure look`s Sweet with all those "Pro Tech" parts.
Mooneyzs Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Charlie... I have to agree with John here on being the best Tommy Ivo. You really hit this one out of the park. The detail is very clean and it shows alot about your craftmanship. Again Nice job buddy!
Nitrozilla Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) I've been looking for an example to fashion my Hemi Under Glass motor after. SCORE !! Guess you'll be hearing from me........... Do you have a "Basic Package" deal that includes popular sized hoses and fittings to do (at least) what you did to this one? I don't know the sizes required from all of those that are available. Pro Tech Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 Thanks guys for the kind comments! W -409, I agree with you on the fronts also but if I went P/E along with my slow building it would have set me back another 2 months haha....... Batzilla, no I don't have a "Basic Package" for doing an engine but here's what I used for line sizes. - .035 braid with corrosponding fittings for fuel tank to pump and oil lines.. - .025 braid with corrosponding fittings for everything else. LAone Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 wow, just wow. great looking dragster. dont know what else to say?? i took a look at your sit, some great stuff. i like how you have a quick description on what the lines can be used for. very helpful.
krazyglu Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Charlie this dragster came out beautiful. I followed as you were working on it and the final result is top notch. Your parts really bring this model to the next level and I'm almost certain I'm going to need some for my Ivo build. Awesome work
bbowser Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Awesome job! TV Tommy was one of the greats and you've done him justice.
