cruz Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hang around Michael's for a while, they sell all types of small wires you can get creative with.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Remember also not to throw away electronic cables, often times you can find great wire in them.
mr moto Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hang around Michael's for a while, they sell all types of small wires you can get creative with. I do the same thing at Hobby Lobby. Spend a little quality time looking at stuff in the jewelry section and you'll find all kinds of small wires and even some stuff called pony bead lacing that is a tiny hose just right for a radiator hose.
MarkJ Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hobby lobby has plastic bead string for making bracelets that works good for spark plug wires.
crazyjim Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I get ignition wires and looms from Scale Dreams. Nice stuff!
W-409 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Hey guys. I need a little help. I want to build a 57 chevy 150 sedan "black widow" but i want to add all the engine dress up wires and hoses. were would be a good place to purchase these items??? I used Detail Master's ignition wire for mine. Other details are built from MIG welding tube, that's really great stuff. This is not the best example, but hope it helps.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Model Car Garage also has a bunch of great stuff.Niko, wow, wonderful engine.

Bead Wire, Bead plastic gord, and cheap solid core solder From Craft Stores. Don't throw away those old spring driven watches as there are a lot of small gears, screws, etc. in them. Model Car Garage, Detail Masters, Scale Models by Chris, MAD Distributers, Replicas, and Minitures of Maryland(resin predrilled Distributers, Spar Advance, coils, regulators, and many other engine detailing parts), ProTech, These are the ones I use most! CHEERS! Tom
Lanny Haas Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Also mcheck out the bead section, some of the smaller one make great fittings for the braded line.
gasser59 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Another great source is your local flyfishing store. They have tons of small colored wires in a variety of diameters. Small spools are usually a couple of bucks, will last you a long time.
scalenut Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 If at Hobby Lobby , check the clearence section first ,, they had a bunch of the beading wire marked way down last time I checked. the braided hose type
