Ron Hamilton Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 It is a Modelhaus body, and it does build up nice. Here is the one I did.
Thor Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 @ Ron: That is sure a nice looking model, did you have any trouble i should be aware of
george 53 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Man is that gonna be SHARP!!!! Yours is pretty cool too Ron. GREAT subject matter!!!
Thor Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 Hi i had to do some major surgery to this, the chassis and tub didn`t fit very good. And it was a little short, narrow and crooked. So i swapped the roof over to plastic body instead, now everything fits nice
Thor Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 Yes , time will show Have to scribe the doorlines also
jaymcminn Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) I actually liked it without the "B" pillar and as a 2-door- kind of a phantom Nomad hardtop wagon. Seriously- that's really nice-looking. Edited December 17, 2011 by jaymcminn
Thor Posted December 23, 2011 Author Posted December 23, 2011 I`m getting close to getting paint on this car, just some small scratches from scribing the doorlines to fill.
Rdkingjay Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 What did you use to scribe the lines? Love the model by the way!
TexasFinest Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Man that wagon is coming along nicely!! Good job.
disabled modeler Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 SWEET!!!... I love wagons of the 60s and 70s!
Thor Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 Hi I`ve just painted this wagon cruiser, the color is an Alfa Romeo color (code 117) Brunello Red. First time i feel getting a decent result with a waterborne auto color (ppg) Very difficult color to capture in picture, it seems to be brown i shot a little movie also a couple of photos
Thor Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 ps. forgot to answer about the tool to scribe. i used just a regular no 11 blade starting very light and more heavy once i got a line
