Plasticfanatic Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Oh yes, I want one of these, SUPERB! I have wanted this 300 for soooo long...in race as well as street versions and now will have the two of them!!
chopper430 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 man i can't wait for both the stock and the tim flock versions come out !
Modlbldr Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 What's the latest word on a release date for these (stock or T.F.)???? Later-
Dave Metzner Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) Everything is approved for production but - it's Chinese New Year! So we have about 2 weeks of factory shut down for the CNY celebration. Best estimate is that C300 Street car kits should be on the water not later than 3/10 we're pushing for shipment before end of February! So if we can't get shipping in February the kit should be on store shelves by end of March at worst. The Tim Flock version will follow aboout 30 days later.. I have everything for it except an instruction sheet..and we're working on that now. Dave Edited January 20, 2012 by Dave Metzner
jjsipes Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Cool. I'll have to get my order in when I see that they are availible for ordering. Thanks a million. I'm sure it will be a great seller like the Hudson.
Modlbldr Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Dave- Thanks for the response. I'm chompin' at the bit for a few of these. Later-
RodneyBad Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Can't wait. I've had a few on Order since first announced. Been reminding my Better cost LHS every other week to make sure they're still on order..
Dominik Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Hi buddies - and Hudsonfans when i read it all, i thought, i must take a look into my box, when my Tim Flock Hudson arrives. So i did and i noted, that my decalsheet iis in perfect condition. Also my Chromeparts are as well as the "stock" Hudson. Only the mold lines on the body are "as bas as" the Stock version. These i had on all kits i am building this time. But: it is a very cool kit, i like it and would buy it again, if i like another one to build. Moebius did a great job with both and i wait "with bees in the butt" for the Chrysler, Convertible,....and hope for more! Thanks for it! Edited January 21, 2012 by Dominik
MJStyline Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Fantastic news- I've been waiting for a model of the original 300 for more than 2 decades, back when a 1:1 '55 DeSoto was in my driveway. I'll be picking up a few, can't imagine how Moebius can trump this release in the future...
Dave Van Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 FYI....here is the decals for the Flock 300. This kit will be another home run!
Tony T Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Wow, fantastic! Looks like another winning pair of kits.
Dave Van Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 We got photos today of production kits. As soon as we have a date I will post. Thanks and enjoy!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 WOW, it's great to see it, Dave. Thanks for sharing it. Finally it's coming out.
jjsipes Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Awesome I got 2 of the stock models coming my way soon and I will be getting a couple of the Nascar kits as well. Great time to be a model builder. Always like the 300 series cars.
Dave Van Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 The pre-sell is going very strong and we may sell out again before the kits hit stateside. I know there are a number of dealers with kits available but don't wait long. This kit is as good or better than the Hudson......
Rob Hall Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I preordered one through Model Roundup, where I got my Hudson race car kit. Looks like the regular 300 kit is out very soon..
Harry P. Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Keep 'em coming, Moebius! Man... after the Hudson and the C300, what do they do for an encore? Whatever it is, it's going to be good...
jeffs396 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 the Hudson's disappeared seemingly just as fast as they were announced and i didn't get one. hopefully i can grab one of these instead Dave, my LHS has two Flock Hudsons if you can't find one, was just there yesterday...
jbwelda Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 surely a company like mobieus doesnt let their products go unavailable to the general market? if the hudson is sold out, isnt another issue of it imminent? i would sure think so, i cant imagine producing 5000 or whatever of a new tool and then somehow relegating it to the collectors market. so i wouldnt worry about not being able to get something right now because just like the bus, if you miss one another will be coming in just a moment.
Dave Van Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 surely a company like mobieus doesnt let their products go unavailable to the general market? There may be a little mix up here........The showroom stock 1953 Hudson kit is 'open stock' and available now at any dealer that wants to order them. If you can't get one let me know and I can direct you. The 1952 Hudson race car of Tim Flock was a limited edition issued by Moebius with Model King. These were limited to 3000 and were sold out before they landed stateside. Same with the Chrysler 300 kit. The showroom stock kit, which is landing in stores this week, is open stock. The Tim Flock race car is a limited edition kit. It is best to pre-order it. Again if you want one and can't find one I can direct you to one..... There's lots of great stuff coming down the road. These guys are serious about the plastic model kit biz!!!!
jbwelda Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 hey dave thanks for the word. looks like i better grab a 300 now if i want the race version, and i do.
camaroman Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) Keep 'em coming, Moebius! Man... after the Hudson and the C300, what do they do for an encore? Whatever it is, it's going to be good... How about this Moebius ??? http://forums.aaca.o...t_left_view.jpg Edited March 30, 2012 by camaroman
Scott - Elm City Hobbies Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 For what it is worth, if anyone is looking for the Tim Flock Hudson Hornet, I still have 2 in stock. Click on the link in my sig. Please, that is awfully close to selling, which is a no-no on the board. You guy can use PMs if need be. -- Moderator
Chuck Most Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 The regular 300 kits are already out and about (my local shop will be getting them in in the next few weeks) but if the sales of the Flock Hornet were any indicator... get one of these Flock Chryslers, like, YESTERDAY!
