Steve Keck Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Mark, I like that car! I would do it! Is it only available from Fisher? The darker blue makes the car pop - makes all the difference.
Scale-Master Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Mark, I like that car! I would do it! Is it only available from Fisher? The darker blue makes the car pop - makes all the difference. I have two kits of it, not 100% sure what kit Gregg is doing. Hostaro makes one, Fisher the other, both are resin kits.
Gregg Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Here's my build of the Hudson Hornet The spear will be Bare-Metal Foil.

Ramfins59 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Jeez Gregg. With that freezing cold 70 degree weather you've got there, maybe Dr. Cranky can send you one of those cute snuggy suits that he just got.
Gregg Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 I know, it was cold last night. Had to close the louvers..... I like the tail on the ground look for this. Can't wait to do the same for the convert that was just posted by Sean. Snuggy suit, I don't think I could get get into one, let alone know what they are!!!!

Roadkill2525 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Its a Datsun 620, believe its from MPC.
Gregg Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 It's the '75 Datsun Pickup from MPC. I picked up quite a few more from Dennis Doty recently, and when putting them away, I noticed that this one was started a while ago. I'm trying to get all the MPC Datsun trucks made. Have a passion for those from high school days. Article coming.
LAone Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 nice 620. i have a couple of them in my stash. always had a soft spot for them. im currently trying to swoop up on a 1:1 72 620. 1.8, offenhauser manifold, edelbrock carb, header and some other great goodies... hoping to gather up the funds fast..

Gregg Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 I started playing around with the new Revell '50 Olds kit, I couldn't leave it stock now, could I? The side trim is in progress. This is part of the Alclad Chrome series of articles. I am starting to do chrome trim by spraying Alclad instead of using Bare-Metal Foil. The problem with doing it this way is that you will rub off the Alclad if you have not finished building the model first. This photo like I said is in progress. I will probably redo it after the model is finished (I know, me finish a model?). Probably will tape up and spray even after all the glass and everything else is in. I love the results from spraying over the clear coat.
martinfan5 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Nice job Gregg, nice to see you back around on here
Gregg Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Thanks, Jonathan. Haven't done much GT5 either. Probably first time in months been here.
GoatGuy Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Gregg, love the 50 Olds and I vote for the front wheels on the 1/12 Shelby. Last night it was 27 degrees and we had to shut the bedroom window. Looking forward to your finished kits.
