blazefox Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 On wat project maybee just weather it and dirty it up,in,my opion
Hot Rodder Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I had a little time the past few days to get the gun assembled and a gun mount fabricated. The gun still needs some fine details but I was worried about handling it so I left them off for now. I'm hoping that the mount is strong gnough so I can fire my rounds into the zombie barricades without damaging the truck. Now I can start concentrating on protection for the cab.
hotrod59f100 Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 (edited) My hummer h2 . I Never weathered before. The rest of the truck is flat black.Hot rodder that is sweet. Edited March 4, 2012 by hotrod59f100
Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 You can stipple it with a little bit of black, ruddy brown, and gray primer and then spatter some mud on there with an old toothbrush, I think it will make this bad puppy look road ready!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Shane, also, if you want the mud to be a little chunk, mix in a pinch of plaster to the diluted, mud-colored paint and then fling it with the old toothbrush. Good luck, and I know you will post more pictures.
blazefox Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Got pre fit and sub asembalys dun. Sidpips ar left and couple little things
ZombieHunter26 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Well, my next PAZH build is covered up front with green modelling putty- Gotta blend in the styrene sheeting and whatnot. At this point, you wouldn't be able to tell what I'm planning, and at the moment I'm out of primer and sandpaper, so at this point I'm not gonna be taking pics :[ What I CAN say, is that it looks like a big green pile of...something.

If you are concerned with realism on something like that, then you need more reinforcement on the gun support. That thing would have a lot of recoil and it would trash the welds on that support quickly. However it has a nice clean look. So if your not concerned with the physics of it all, I'd leave it.

Hi Rob, Yeah, you're right. It does look 'kinda spindly up there. I'll add some reinforcing. Thanks! Gary
Dr. Cranky Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Wow, Robert, that's looking excellent. Love the beefy look the wheels give it. Nice, keep it going. Saved the pictures over to the next Progress Vid. archives.
