I used Metalizers but did have to clear coat due to their flaking.

I did some fun research since I own the trilogy and took liberties where I felt I needed to, to add spice.

A superb kit in every way. I'd like to thank MAMA modelers for providing the kit and the opportunity to model such an icon.

Thanks to JustBill for urging me to buy it as well.

You can see it tomorrow at work buddy.

Great, now I have the Huey Lewis and the News song stuck in my head!

Did your kit come with a Marty McFly figure? Mine did.

This is the first time I have ever seen one of these built and you really did a awesome job on it. It is so unique and iconic that I would actually like to build one myself. I actually used a bunch of metalizers on my current build and I used testors dullcoat as my top coat. It did not change the finish of the metalizers at all as a far as I can tell seems to have worked well.

No figure Nate. But it did come with extra pieces. They were curious until I watched the movie a few nights ago. Then it hit me. The extra pieces are for the flying version at the end of the movie. There is a mechanism that allows the wheels to fold dwn and out flat like the flying car. The extra parts are for the "Mr Fusion" apparatus that the flying car has. I've decided to paint and build those pieces as an accessory.

It even comes with a clear base that plugs in the chassis to get it up off the ground. Very cool stuff.

Thans for the kinds words as well guys. Total build time was about a week of nightly building.

You wana know the sad thing about the real car.Te top speed of a stock one was 85.I guess that John knew the risks of adding to much power. Also I think you orgot the lettering on the back bumper,Stock ones had it, not sure if the movie ones did.

I almost lettered them but my research showed it wasn't painted [on the BTTF cars]. DeLorean owners can buy an aluminum script package to do theirs up.

The Deloreans top speed was around 130, the speedometer only registered 85 due to US regulations.
