SuperStockAndy Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 Moonbeam? That's an insult. Just kidding, kind of a funny name though if you think about it
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I thought the Gov. of California was Linda something or other. LOL!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Harry, I believe they had to relabel the cans because "It's known to the state of California to cause cancer" EDIT-Hobbylinc doesn't have it yet, so hopefully they will within the next week... But you know everyone's gonna run out of stock as soon as they come in.. Andy, this is sort of funny! Why do you think Hobbylinc ran out?
SuperStockAndy Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 Well, I meant that as soon as the online stores get it, they'll all run out due to everyone buying it at once.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 No, I'm telling you they had 3 left two weeks ago and I bought all three. Sorry.
Harry P. Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Moonbeam? That's an insult. Just kidding, kind of a funny name though if you think about it It's not my nickname for him, that's what they call him.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Mr. Brown has lots of colorful names in California. I was a student there when he was Gov. the first time around so I have his signature on my diploma and the funny thing is that it has a very recognizable leaf of a very recognizable plant next to his name.
Harry P. Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 He should have married Linda Ronstadt while he had the chance...
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I met Linda in Tucson at a party once and I really fell in love with her, although she's much older than I am, but she sings like an Angel, still!
LAone Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 once upon a time, a man was in the governors office building a model and using tamiya products. he had glues, paint bottles and spray cans sitting on his bench, then some money hungry dirt bag noticed that it was from japan and that it didnt have the "it will cause cancer if in california, cause anything in cali causes cancer" label on it and made a big stink about it. he probably bought himself a new bmw with the money he took from tamiya. THE END..
Mr. Moparman Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Good, Doctor, would you be as kind as to forward some of this wonderful product to Mississippi as I am about to run out!!!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 LOL, Brandon and what if I run out before what I send you gets to you?
Mr. Moparman Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Virgil, Virgil, Virgil.... What would this forum do without you......
Dr. Cranky Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Brandon, I would not ask that question too loudly here without wearing a flak jacket, my friend!
carrucha Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I met Linda in Tucson at a party once and I really fell in love with her, although she's much older than I am, but she sings like an Angel, still! She does sing like an angel. I have been to a couple of her concerts where she sang in Spanish and I was amazed by how great she sang in concert. Her sweet and powerful voice is as great in a live performance as it is on her albums.
my80malibu Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 My local hobbytown doesn't have any yet it could be a issue with credit
lordairgtar Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 She does sing like an angel. I have been to a couple of her concerts where she sang in Spanish and I was amazed by how great she sang in concert. Her sweet and powerful voice is as great in a live performance as it is on her albums. Lovely singer AND a Latina! You wouldn't know that with her German last name.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Her father was Mexican, I believe, Gregg. I have her CDs of her father's favorite songs. Excellent.
espo Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Speaking of Califonia, and meaning no disrespect to forum members presently there. I was a 30 year+ resident of " The Golden State". I well remember " Gov. Moonbeam " In time he turned out to not have been so bad. The saying at the time of my departure in 1996 was " Last tax payer out turn off the lights "
Dave Van Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I picked up light green, light blue and white primer Sat in Mooresville NC. Shop was very low but said they had more coming.
Eshaver Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Harry, it's not just Governor Brown. I would have to add the California Air resources board, ( C A R B ) , the enviormentialists , the California Sieria club , Friends of earth , and countess other sub cultures who inhabit the San Gabriel mountaian range along with Griffinth park and mabye Sunset Boulevard . Now ya'all know why i don't live there any more ! Ed Shaver
Erik Smith Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Picked up two cans of primer at Hobbytown in Spokane today. The spray cans are still not in - i am fown to one can of semi gloss black! Some of the bottles are back. The only difference I see on the bottled paints is a changed flammable symbol.
