Harry P.
You built that? What's the source of the kit? BTW... I moved this to "Other Models."
Longbox55
Harry, that's the old Ertl kit, last reissued in the '90s by AMT.
george 53
It sure is, an it's GREAT to see one built! VERY nice job, but you REALLY gotta dirty that rascal up! Tractors was built ta be USED!!!! Great build of a really nice kit!
Longbox55
I agree with ya George, it's waaaaayyyy too clean! Around my neck of the woods, the only times you see one that clean is at the dealer when it's new, or at the tractor shows after it's long been retired. jeffs396
Nice build of a seldom seen kit! Sure wish they'd reissue these and other equipment
Guest
That's a good looking tractor Andy! I just bought two of these and they should be here in the next couple of days. I can't wait to get my hands on them! Gonna have to go to the farm store and get me some JD green and yellow. Is that what you painted yours with? The colors look spot on. I'll probably be scratchbuilding equipment for it for a long time! Do these come with two or four rear wheels/tires? One of mine will definitely have to have duals on the rear. doogie7046
Great job on that JD tractor. I got one still in the box awaiting to be built. Not sure whether to keep it clean and new as a load on a lowboy or dirty it up a little so it looks like its on the farm. I wanted to put duals on mine but they only have the one set of rears in the box. Too expensive to buy an extra kit just for the extra tires. zaina
thanks everyone for the kind words. harry, i wondered if i should of put this here, and yes it is the amt kit. plowboy, the paint was actually testors from the rattle can but i built this a couple years ago and dont remember the color. i do know that they were not jd colors though...had my dad help me pick them out...he knows alot about jd tractors. and unfortunately the kit only comes with single rear tires. thanks again everyone. andy
roadhawg
Ok, I want one of those. Nice!!! And the reason it's not dirty.....it was just delivered from the factory. Yeah...thats it!
SuperStockAndy
Awesome...I'm a John Deere fan as well, so it's nice to see them getting built.

Chris guthro
thats actually amazingly close to jd green! i could of sworn it was. Very nice job, how many peices is the motor in? i smell a cool swap into a old pickup
AzTom
Very Nice, It would be cool if someone cast the rear tires and rims, love duals. They also made a wagon and a plow for these. You are missing the side covers on the hood. AzTom
puddingwrestler
Nice one! Since I went to a local working horse and tractor rally the other week I've been feeling a hankering to build a tractor myself... must keep and eye out for this model. zaina
dont remeber how many pieces the motor is but its not crazy detailed. i do have the side covers just didnt want to put them on and hide some of the details
mr moto
That's a great build! I wish all of the old Ertl farm equipment kits would be re-released. I have a Massey-Ferguson 1155 needing to get built and I had to watch Ebay FOREVER before I found one at a reasonable price. I wish they would make a four wheel drive Massey kit. Since your JD only came with single rear wheels maybe you could scratch build some axle weights to hang on those long axle shafts.
68Chevelle327
i cant wipe the smile off my face knowing they made farmin models im a farm boy too haha we just picked up a new 120 case its just a little guy... but it pulls everything nice haha i have just finished my gooseneck flatbed for the most part an would love to find something like this!! you should let me know what you think of the gooseneck! im thinkin i mite have to go make me some hay bales to put on it tell i find a tractor haha
Jim B
Nice looking tractor. Factory fresh. AMT probably only made the rear wheels singles so it would fit on their lowboy trailer.
1930fordpickup
Good looking Deere !
AlbertS
From one former farm kid to another, nice job on the 4430-although you do need the screens in front of engine for air cleaner. How about a chisel plow, disc or even planter next?
