The Creative Explorer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 It is finally done! it took me a while, not that long actually, but I am quite happy with the result, it has that nice sleek look to it and although there are many points to improve, I am happy with the result.
trogdor Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 the little kurb feelers are so bouse I agree, very nice subtle detail. Beautiful model.
crazyjim Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Extremely nice. I really like what you did to the side trim. And it's SHINY :) Edited February 17, 2012 by crazyjim
Dr. Cranky Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Great job, Erik. It's all in the little details and the beautiful two tone. Congratulations.
Foxer Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 The BMF on one of those is enough to give praise .. looking good!
Cool Hand Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Very nice build Erik. Top job on the body work, smooth as.
hotrod59f100 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Wow. One of the best 59s I've seen. Edited February 17, 2012 by hotrod59f100
Danno Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Most excellent!! Love the curb feelers. Nice touch.
Qwit Pushin Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 "bouse"? I had to google it, but here's the definition from 'Urbandictionary.com': "To be #1, the best. To be sick wit it. To be incredible."
Nate Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Super smooth! I hope the 59 I'm planning to build (someday...) comes out half as nice!
LAone Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 came out really nice erik. the feelers just give it that extra bit of character that it already has.
Harry P. Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I agree! Love the curb feelers! I don't think I've ever seen a model with them before. Too cool! Oh, and very nice job on the rest of the model!
Sixties Sam Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Excellent build of an iconic 50's car! Great finish and detailing. Curb feelers are a cool touch! Sam
Custom Mike Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Beautiful work Erik, the foil work looks flawless, the under-hood detail is nicely done, and the paint makes it stand out. Top-notch work sir! One question though, what did you use for the antennas and curb feelers, they look perfectly in scale!
DANB Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 I had to google it, but here's the definition from 'Urbandictionary.com': "To be #1, the best. To be sick wit it. To be incredible." Yeah, must be an Aus thing, popular word among car enthusiasts over here. But it suits this model to a T.
The Creative Explorer Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Thanks everybody! I am quite proud on this one too, all the bodywork was so much trouble, i couldn't get rid of the seemlines, but eventually managed to get it decent. And I just got me a bright moment with those curb-feelers, I don't know what triggered it, but I just wanted it. @Mike; they are made of thin needles, like acupuncture needles, they are ideal for this, very sharp too, so be careful.
