moparmagiclives Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Lets see here. My dad bought my brother an '08 Ford F-150. My brother is off in the Navy. Hey lane, Is your signature a line from "Contry Boy" by Aaron Lewis ? As for me, It started as an email address that I opened with yahoo for work ( chrysler tech support wanted an email address to contact us) Its just stuck with me for most everything now.
Steve Keck Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 My parents gave me my name. Middle name is my father's. My avatar is a self portrait
Chuck Most Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 My avatar changes on a whim. Same here with that. My avatar is Gumby now because I couldn't load my lightly-Photoshopped Harvey Dent image. My previous avatar was Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski. No matter what you ever do in your life, you will never be as cool as The Dude. As far as avatars go, I just use something I personally find amusing, while keeping it SFW. User name is my real name, though I did go by 'Count Chuckula' for a while. That was a nickname given to me by a former supervisor at work. Harry even reworked a Count Chocula box image to read Count Chuckula, and that is what I used for my avatar during that time.
bbowser Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 User name is no mystery. I love Calvin & Hobbes, although I was seriously jealous of Harry's 59 Chevy tailight.
Harry P. Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 User name is no mystery. I love Calvin & Hobbes, although I was seriously jealous of Harry's 59 Chevy tailight. Thanks! That's an illustration I did.
wraith Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 WRAITH Should be pretty self explanitory fo anyone who like car movies! But for those unfamiliar with it from the cult classic "The Wraith" starring Charlie Sheen and one of the most impactful car of my youth Chrysler's "Turbo Interceptor" Avatar is a tricked out SRT-4! One of my dream MOPARS! I love FAST MOPARS! New and old! Plus I have been modding Neons and SRT-4's for years!
Nate Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 My username is my name, my avatar is a picture my wife took of me while we were on a boat ride on the Rio Coco in Nicaragua on a mission trip in '04 (or was it '05?)
martinfan5 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Well the current one should not need explaining, I am a NASCAR fan, so thats were the user name comes from.
The70judgeman Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Avatar pix has to be below a certain size (I think 200x200 pixels?). Thanks Harry...not the pic I wanted, but it worked.
HotRodaSaurus Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Hotrodasaurus! I sell old hot rod type magazines, I used to specialise in the real early issues and had a good clientele until I obtained everyones magazines to complete their collections. Some people just didnt trust internet auctions, couldnt be bothered with them and I always bought collections and lots to improve my own collection so had lots of doubles. So I thought up this slogan as my magazines were from the earliest period "Hotrodasaurus, Selling car magazines from the Jurrasic age" The picture in my Avatar? I always wanted a 1960 Cadillac, bought one 20 years ago. Sold it, but thats another story. John Edited March 1, 2012 by HotRodaSaurus
FASTBACK340 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I know I should just let mine speak for itself. My avatar & screen name is currently sleeping in the garage. If this crazy-warm winter we're having continues, I might wake the Mistress up early this year.....

Decided to combine that with glu since we use glue often in the model world The avatar is good ole John Wayne holding a set of refrigeration gauges since I am a Hvac tech. by trade.

milkman Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Mine is obvious to those who know me personally. I owned and operated a dairy farm for about 25 years.
Qwit Pushin Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 My user name, 'qwit pushin,' is something my dad used to say after 'breaking wind.' (something like 'pull my finger,' only after the fact...) as for the avatar, well, that's my late father assembling an early AMT kit with mom and me in winter 1961. My dad got me going in the model hobby, so I thought it fitting that everything here, identity-related, go back to him.
