lou s Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 here are some pics of my first pro stock.i couldnt get many pics of the real car with the hood off or the entior so i had to guess on how it would look.i used the revell tubs altered the trans tunnell and dash, scratch bult a chassis and addes some scratch built stuff along with alot of aftermarket, pro tech,d.m.,mas,ect.......... working on the comp resin body and have nitro tech aluminum wheels.these pics are the best i can do.
Prostreet Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Great work, super clean. Where did you get the Liberty shifter setup? scratch built?
comp1839 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 very nice detailing. can't wait to see the rest.
lou s Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 (edited) the liberty shifter is made out of plastic sheet.aluminumsheet, photo etch junk and rb motion rod ends. if anyone can get dirtmodeler or another after market company to do a photo etch set for the liberty shifter i would be greatful. if i have to build another like that it will put me in the nut house. It's in the works, i promise! Likely out of Stainless or Nickel Steel. I'm still undecided... but it's in the works now. You did such a fantastic job on your Liberty Shifter, i thought someone already DID make a PE kit of it. that thing is phenomenal! Edited March 13, 2012 by DirtModeler
W-409 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Detailing is amazing, and very interesting build too. I haven't seen these new Pro Stockers being built, and I'm really interested seeing this one. Keep up the great work.
gasser59 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Now that is nice. Can't wait to see the finished build.
lou s Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) i need a little help.i know this is funny but i said i didnt know much about drag cars......i got the front runners mounted and was about to mount the rear slicks when i realized i dont know what direction the wrinkle on the slick are suppost to face.....here are the pics of the mock-up...is it correct or do i switch them.thanks LOL. Edited March 19, 2012 by lou s
Dragracer Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 From some of the pic's I just checked out , the slicks look right as you have them, if you would like to double check for yourself you can do what I did, I went on my homepage, put "winkle wall slicks" in the search area, then clicked onto images & scanned down the page looking at the pics. By the way the chassis & engine look great!
Romell R Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 The slicks are on in the correct direction. keep up the good work
