Apologies if you guys know all about this already!

You may want to create realistic license plates for your vehicle (either with "special" combinations that spell something or use your initials, or maybe you know the number of a real vehicle that you are modelling)

This site:

http://www.licenseplates.tv/european-plates.html

Lets you type in any letters that you want, and generates a picture of the resulting plate, with the right layout and fonts, for pretty much any country. If you copy the image and print it out at 400dpi, it's the right size for a 1/24 plate...

bestest,

M.

I used the ACME platemaker, before I ran across this site, this one is far better than the acme site. The only drawback I can find is they have no up to date plates, the last one for KY is 1976 I believe. It would be nice to have some newer.

I have been using that site for awhile now, only for non US plates, as like already said, no up to date plates, I would like to buy a few for my real car from that site

If you want to have up-to-date (or antique) plates, search Google Images for the blank license plate you want - not always a sure thing, but often useful. Then you can add any numbers or letters using a word program.

I do that or I use acme, or some other sites as well

I found a customizable bicycle license plate that is made up like the current Wisconsin license plates. I make the number, photo it, store to the computer, resize, and print! I did this for a few builds already!

The real kicker on this plate sight is that they don't have California plates. I don't know why. They use to. Go figure!
