jerseyjunker1 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 this is a franklin mint 1/24th scale 1930 caddy sedan. it was made to resemble a long abandoned car on an old farm that has been used as target practice by the locals.it has over 200 bullet holes. all of the glass is real glass that i laminated. glass bulbs in headlights and tailight. about as ugly as they get.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Love it, the pictures are wonderful too. Lots of details in each of those scenes to look at.
Dave Wood Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) I think I took a few Shots at that my self in a field out near Lake hopatcong. NJ Great build Manny I hope your going to make it to NNL EAST and if you do bring that with you for the Diorama catagory Edited March 22, 2012 by Dave Wood
bsoder Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Glad the bullet holes came from potshots and not "a la" Bonnie & Clyde great job, looks very convincing!
crazyjim Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Everybody know I don't do UNshiny , but that Caddy and dio are fabulous.
bigphoto Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Very well done!! some one was using a large caliber, which is my fave cuz I hate to shoot twice at something!!
Tom Setzer Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Great Diorama! Great detailing, and weathering!
Agent G Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 If that were a few decades newer it would match a few we found out here in the desert. Good job. G
Danno Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 If that were a few decades newer it would match a few we found out here in the desert. Good job. G With or without trunk "residents" or does it really matter?
bentmetal Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Very cool. You do nice work. I like how you also use a picture for the background settings.
Agent G Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 With or without trunk "residents" or does it really matter? Doesn't really matter. If "occupied", by the time they are located it's like King Tuts tomb. Now Lake Mead, with the falling water levels, is another story. G
Matt Bacon Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 That looks really good... very interesting and different. I must admit, when I saw the picture my first thought was "so that's where Bonnie and Clyde's ride got to..." bestest, M.
Danno Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Doesn't really matter. If "occupied", by the time they are located it's like King Tuts tomb. Now Lake Mead, with the falling water levels, is another story. G Yeah. I can't wait til the water level drops enough to expose all the "stolen" cars and trucks of my clients ... business will get really busy!
Agent G Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 A couple more feet and I will be back in Homicide........................... G
jerseyjunker1 Posted March 24, 2012 Author Posted March 24, 2012 thanks for all the compliments guys. glad you liked this one.
ZombieHunter26 Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 This is amazing, Manny! I'm gonna have to take some tips from you on bullet holes in the glass and body. I can do 'em, I just have a little trouble gettin' 'em right!
