Gregg Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Wow! I am impressed guys! Over 4,000 Likes on FaceBook! Now, if only I could get someone from FaceBook to answer a question. I wanted to turn the MCM FaceBook page into the main page, but it won't let me because I have a personal page also. Don't want to lose what is already there. Any of you social network guys know anything about this?
SuperStockAndy Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I think you mean 4008. I think I liked it when it was around 3300, and that wasn't terribly long ago.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Sorry, Gregg, can't help you there . . . the only think I can do on Facebook is the basic minimum. I don't know how that stuff works. Congrats on all the LIKES!
RancheroSteve Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Same here - I just made it 4011. You'll be at 5000 in no time at this rate!
bbowser Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I don't understand why 'likes' on FB mean anything? Does it put more money in someone's pocket, that's why all the emphasis? Not just for ModelCars but every company / website / marketer wants more 'likes'. I don't get it, but then again I remember black & white TV !
Austin T Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Whats this face book you speak of?This is the only site i'm ever on.
Gregg Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Likes have to do with impressions. Not the type of impressions that we are used to, but the whole new social media network has created a whole new v dictionary of words and meanings. Likes and then the impressions equate to more advertising opportunities and hopefully revenue. Like I said, it's a whole new ball game out there Sorry for any typos, doing this on iPad
martinfan5 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 I did not know you had a Face Book, but I am going to check it out and I will like it
MikeMc Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Let me get this correct....you need 2 sites 1 here, and 1 on Facebook ? I'm not sure why anyone would / could need a finer Car Model Magazine Forum ? OH YEAH.......I'm OLD.....
sports850 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Have you got a link to it , I can only find a model cars mag page that has 361 likes so far ???
Gregg Posted March 24, 2012 Author Posted March 24, 2012 I found a page there in the help side that says I can convert my personal page to a business page, which will lose all my messages, etc. I think that's fine, since I want the mag to be the main feature. Hopefully in the next few days it will get migrated into a new biz page, and everything should work good. I'll post more here when pau
