Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Folks, Michael Fichtenmayer and INDUSTRIA MECHANIKA are putting out some amazing models, including lots of super cool figures. Here's the link. They are interested to find out if we (model car builders) would love to have these figures in 1/24th scale. The more of us who say yes, the more likely the chances they will print copies in 1/24th. http://www.facebook.com/IndustriaMechanika It's a different subject matter, but the figures can easily be utilized in our dioramas and photo op builds. Thank you to tuning in. Best, Doctor Cranky.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Here are some of the pictures: And here's another cool one:
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Shane, just go over to FB and let them know. I am trying to get lots of people to say they'd be interested because then they'd do them all in 1/24th scale. We all benefit from it.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Here's the main website: http://industriamechanika.com/blog/
Dave Van Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Saw some of these on the Sci Fi site I visit. Look good....would like the wlding girl in 1/24.....
brad4321 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Zero chance I'm ever painting a dude with his shirt off.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Barrio Guy could sport a few tattoos from Archer and he'd be perfect next to a rat rod. You can see how our imagination is already getting CRANKED UP.
jeffs396 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Count me in if they do 'em in 1/24! Luv the gas welding girl, she's an old school torcher Sasha............................
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Jeff, I can see her already in a whole bunch of garage dioramas putting the finishing touches on a custom or a rat rod!
Romell R Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 too bad Sasha isnt in 1/16th scale she would be a kool mechcanic for my Promod display.
1zebra3 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Sasha wouldn't do much welding with those shorts or T on. Could you imagine how she would ruin her tan. I'd buy one though and the others so I will go give them the thumbs up on the 1/24th figures.
Wagoneer81 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I was just told, on their site, that Sasha will be offered in 1/24. 'More info will be available at a later date'! As for the Barrio Guy, a little 2-part Milliput pressed into sheets and cut properly would make for a good tee-shirt or tank...
Tom Setzer Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 We need more 1:24th Figures, to use in diorama buiding.
Agent G Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 That. Stuff. Is. Amazing. ...That is all. Ditto X3 G
Chief Joseph Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 This is the future of modeling, my friends. All of these figures are digitally sculpted in Zbrush and the masters are 3D printed. Then traditional resin castings are made from silicone molds for sale. I have done some work with Michael Fichtenmayer in the past (I printed the decals for this thing) and all that stuff was traditional modeling... this new digital stuff is out of this world!
uncle potts Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 How about that steam car and trailer. I want that one! And more figures would be cool also. Cranky I already let them know, so......fingers crossed.

If this is the future, are they on the NY stock exchange so I can buy some. OPPS on second thought I better not cause everything I buy goes down the tubes. ( hate to ruin it for us modelers ) I had all my money in PINK SLIME maybe I should buy OIL Edited March 29, 2012 by 1zebra3
Dr. Cranky Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 Thank you all, the more of us who express an interest in having these figures and kits in 1/24th, the more motivated the company will be to put them out. Michael Fichtenmayer is a heck of a model builder, and a professional. I've known him for several years and have done business with him a couple of times and have never been disappointed.

LoneWolf15 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I find the figures to be a fabulous addition to our hobby . Now , if someone really wanted to make a small fortune ..... I know of a certain crew that would love to see a horde of zombie figures to be put up on the market !

Tell me about it, I've been trying to get all sorts of builders and sculpture artists to get busy. The market is ripe for such figures . . .
cruz Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Just shared in FB and wrote "please" quite a few times, they look great. Wouldn't mind learning some new painting techniques when adding color on these!!
